Lourdes returned to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon, and hung with Indiana Tech for 33 minutes before the Warriors pulled away, scoring an 88-69 victory over the Gray Wolves at the Schaeffer Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.
 
Indiana Tech took an early eight-point lead 19-11 with just under 10 minutes to play in the opening half after going on an 11-2 run.  Lourdes battled back, scoring seven straight points to close within one and eventually tied the game at 26 with 5:40 to play in the first half on a lay-in by Emily Orsini (Akron, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban H.S.). 
 
The Gray Wolves could not take the lead before halftime though, with the Warriors rebuilding a four point lead.  Lauren Tilden (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna H.S.) drained a three-pointer just before intermission though and Lourdes tied the game at 37 heading into the locker room.
 
A 7-0 run by Lourdes to start the second half put the Gray Wolves on top 46-39 with just under 17 minutes to play.  Indiana Tech answered with a 17-5 run of its own to retake the lead for the final time, 59-53 with 8:33 remaining.  Lourdes pulled within three at the 6:33 mark, but the Warriors went on one more spurt, this one 20-4 over five minutes, to build a 19-point advantage and secure the victory.
 
Tilden went all 40 minutes and led Lourdes with 23 points, making five triples to go along with an 8-for-8 effort at the free throw line.  Tarynn Hampton (Saint Louis, Mo./Alton H.S.) added 16 points and seven rebounds while Orsini scored 10 points, nine of which came in the first half.
 
Tiffani Blackman (Toledo, Ohio/Start H.S.) grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds for the Gray Wolves as Lourdes outrebounded Indiana Tech 45-41.  The Gray Wolves shot 32.3% from the floor and committed 20 turnovers in the contest.
 
Chelsea Carradine led Indiana Tech (9-4, 6-1 WHAC) with 24 points and 11 rebounds while Rachael Kruse also scored 24 points for the Warriors.  Ulyssia Richmond added 17 points and Rayana Villalpando chipped in 11 more points for the hosts as Indiana Tech shot 49.2% from the field on the afternoon.
 
Lourdes (3-9, 1-6) will have two weeks off before returning to action on Dec. 28 at the Saint Xavier Christmas Classic in Chicago, Ill.  The Gray Wovles will face Robert Morris (Ill.) on day one with tip-off scheduled for 4 p.m. CST.
