Tiffany Scott (Ottawa Lake, Mich./Sylvania Southview H.S.) scored 14 of her game-high 17 points in the first half for Lourdes, but the Gray Wolves connected on just 21.4% of its second half shots on Wednesday evening as Aquinas defeated Lourdes 60-43 at the Sturrus Fitness and Sports Center in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Scott made 5-of-7 shots from the floor in the opening 20 minutes, including 4-of-6 from three-point range to help keep the Gray Wolves within eight, 32-24, at halftime. A 10-0 run by the Saints gave the hosts an early 14-4 lead only to have Scott drain three triples as part of an 11-2 Lourdes run to pull the Gray Wolves back within one with 5:25 to play before intermission. A pair of 6-0 runs by Aquinas before halftime though gave them the eight-point advantage at the break.

Tarynn Hampton (Saint Louis, Mo./Alton H.S.) jumper with 15:36 to play pulled Lourdes to within five, 34-29, before Aquinas went on a 10-0 run over the next 3:30 to extend the lead to 15, a double-digit advantage they would not relinquish the rest of the way.Â

Tiffani Blackman (Toledo, Ohio/Start H.S.) pulled down a team-leading eight rebounds. The Gray Wolves were outrebounded 41-38 though.

Taelor Sanders led Aquinas (8-1, 4-1 WHAC) with 17 points and six assists while Allison Heberlein added 12 points and six boards. The Saints committed just 11 turnovers on the evening.
