Day 1 Results

Lourdes University's women's golf team began its final event of the 2012-2013 season on Monday at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships, and currently sits in sixth place at the midway point of the 36-hole event held at Scott Lake Country Club in Comstock Park, Mich.
 
The Gray Wolves fired an opening round score of 393 over the 5,812-yard, par-72 layout.  Madonna leads the team standings by three strokes over Aquinas after carding 336.  Lourdes trails fifth place Indiana Tech by 29 strokes but has an 18-shot advantage over seventh place Northwestern Ohio.
 
Lindsay Lehman (Sylvania, Ohio/Otsego H.S.) led Lourdes in round firing a 96 to finish the day in 31^st place individually.  Heather Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) posted a round of 97 for the Gray Wolves while Kallie Breyfogle (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.), Brooke Darah (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.) and Haley Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) each carded rounds of 98.
 
Michelle Hall and Becca Porter, both of Madonna share the individual lead through 18 holes after shooting rounds of 79, one stroke ahead of Siena Heights' Sydney Gossett.
 
Lourdes will close the tournament on Tuesday with the final 18 holes.  Play begins at 10 a.m.
