Lourdes Women Finish Sixth at WHAC Championships

Lourdes University's women's golf team wrapped up the 2012-2013 season on Tuesday afternoon with a sixth place finish at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships held at Scott Lake Country Club in Comstock Park, Mich.
 
The Gray Wolves fired a second round 379, 10 strokes better than round one, to finish the 36-hole event at 768.  The Gray Wolves easily outdistanced seventh place Northwestern Ohio by 44 shots.  Lourdes finished 70 strokes behind fifth place Siena Heights over the two days.
 
Madonna won the team title by 26 shots after firing a final round 315 to finish at 651.  Aquinas finished second while Davenport was third.
 
Brooke Darah (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.) turned in a final round 85 to pace Lourdes on Tuesday, finishing in 25th place overall with a 36-hole total of 183.  She improved by 13 strokes over her opening round.
 
Lindsay Lehman (Sylvania, Ohio/Otsego H.S.) also improved by one stroke from her opening 18 holes to card a final round 95 to finish at 191 for the tournament.  Haley Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) posted a 99 to finish at 197 for the championship to finish in a tie with her sister Heather Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.), who shot a final round 100.  Kallie Breyfogle (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) closed out the scoring for Lourdes with a 101 on Tuesday to finish the event at 199.
 
Madonna's Michelle Hall won the individual title by six strokes over Indiana Tech's Megan Garrison, finishing at 154.  Hall fired a final round 75 over the 5,812-yard, par-72 course.
