Earlier This Season: Lourdes raced out to a 19-point halftime lead and defeated Lawrence Tech 67-44 on Nov. 16 at Tam-o-Shanter in the WHAC opener for both schools.  Zach Steinmetz led the Gray Wolves with 15 points while Eric Worthey added 14 more.  Jay Redman paced the Blue Devils with 16 points.  Jerome Talton's three-point play with 32 seconds left put Lourdes on top for good on Nov. 23 as the Gray Wolves upset then #10 Davenport 59-55 in Grand Rapids, Mich.  Elvin Butler scored 16 points while Worthey added 14 for the Gray Wolves.  Dominez Burnett led the Panthers with 20 points.  The two schools met again Dec. 23 in the fifth place game of the Saint Xavier Midwest Tournament in Chicago, Ill.  The then ninth-ranked Panthers held Lourdes to just 14 first half points on the way to a 58-49 victory.  Butler had 12 points and Worthey added 10 for the Gray Wolves while JaVontae Ford paced Davenport with 12 points.
