Lourdes rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit, scoring 42 points in the second half to notch a 66-56 victory over Concordia (Mich.) in a key Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference game at Cardinal Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Gray Wolves trailed by 11 with under 14 minutes to play before finishing the game on a 36-15 run. Lourdes shot 65% from the floor in the second half while holding the Cardinals, which had shot 54.2% in the opening stanza, to just 26.9% shooting over the final 20 minutes.

Eric Worthey (Cleveland, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian H.S.) led the way for Lourdes with 18 points and five assists, making 8-of-11 from the free throw line.Â
Jake DuPree (Toledo, Ohio/Whiteford H.S.) was a perfect 8-for-8 from the stripe on his way to 14 points while
Zach Steinmetz (Toledo, Ohio/Saint John's H.S.) registered his eighth double-double in the last 10 games, finishing the night with 14 points and 11 boards. He was 6-for-8 from the floor.

Concordia jumped on top quickly, scoring the game's first seven points. Lourdes cut its deficit to one three times in the first half before the Cardinals went on an 18-7 run over the final six minutes of the first half to build a 36-24 advantage at the break.

The Cardinal lead was 11, 41-30, with 13:50 to play in the game before the Gray Wolves clawed back. A Steinmetz basket at the 7:50 mark pulled Lourdes to within one, 47-46 before a
Reginald Martin (Buffalo, N.Y./Cardinal O'Hara H.S.) basket on the next possession gave the Gray Wolves the lead. An 8-0 spurt, capped by a Worthey steal and a DuPree lay-in, pushed the lead to 56-49 and Lourdes would lead by at least four the rest of the way.

Lourdes outrebounded Concordia 32-26 on the night and took advantage of the Cardinals making just 7-of-15 (46.7%) of its shots at the free throw line.

Makenzi Kurvits-Statum led Concordia (10-13, 7-8 WHAC) with 14 points while Josh Fugate added 10 points in the loss.

Lourdes (13-10, 8-7) will head home on Saturday afternoon to entertain Indiana Tech. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. at Tam-o-Shanter.
