Lourdes limited Marygrove to just 13 first half points and held the Mustangs to 25% shooting on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 66-37 win at Tam-o-Shanter.

The 37 points allowed marked a new school record for fewest points given up in a contest. The Gray Wolves controlled the glass, outrebounding Marygrove 50-33, and shot 41.8% for the game from the floor, including making 7-of-17 three-point attempts.

After Marygrove took an early 4-2 lead, Lourdes ran off 10 straight points to seize control. Both teams went cold from the floor for an eight-minute stretch of the first half, with a lone basketball Marygrove accounting for the only points during the span. Leading 12-6 with less than eight minutes to play before break, the Gray Wolves scored the next 12 points to go on top 24-6 with under four minutes to play. Lourdes took a 32-13 lead into the locker room.

Lourdes extended its lead to 24, 41-17, over the first three minutes of the second half. The Mustangs cut the lead to 18, 46-28, but Lourdes ran off 14 of the next 17 points to build its largest lead of the game at 29, 60-31, at the 7:58 mark. Thirteen Gray Wolves saw action down the stretch as Lourdes posted its second Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference win of the year.

Tiffany Scott (Ottawa Lake, Mich./Sylvania Southview H.S.) led Lourdes with 16 points, making three triples, while
Lauren Tilden (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna H.S.) also made three from long range on her way to 15 points while adding four assists.Â
Tiffani Blackman (Toledo, Ohio/Start H.S.) just missed a double-double with nine points and 10 boards.

Adrienne Weaver led Marygrove (2-13, 0-8 WHAC) with 13 points off of the bench while Ciara Moore added 11 more, all of which came in the first half.

Lourdes (4-11, 2-6) will take to the road on Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Lima, Ohio to face Northwestern Ohio. Tip-off against the Racers is set for 5:30 p.m. at Racer Gymnasium.
