Series Notes: Lourdes is 0-6 all-time against Cornerstone after dropping a pair of decisions against the Golden Eagles last season.  Cornerstone posted a 59-49 win at Tam-o-Shanter while edging the Gray Wolves 61-60 in Grand Rapids, Mich.  Cornerstone is 3-0 all-time against Lourdes in Grand Rapids.  Lourdes and Lawrence Tech have split the four previous meetings 2-2.  Last year the Blue Devils defeated Lourdes 67-62 at Tam-o-Shanter and 70-47 in Southfield, Mich.  The series is tied 1-1 in Southfield.

Wrapping Up Last Week: The Gray Wolves opened the week scoring 64 points in the paint on the way to a 93-44 victory over Kuyper at Tam-o-Shanter on Tuesday night.  Lauren Tilden led four Lourdes scorers in double figures with 16 points while Jessie Fidler added 15 points.  Emily Orsini added 14 points and nine rebounds in the victory.  On Saturday, Lourdes made just three field goals in the first half before falling to Michigan-Dearborn 64-54 at Tam-o-Shanter in the WHAC opener.  Rachel Flores came off of the bench to score 12 points while Fidler grabbed 10 rebounds.

Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles, ranked 24th in the nation in the preseason NAIA Division II poll, dropped their WHAC opener at Madonna 65-58 on Saturday afternoon.  Jill Hendrickson leads the way for Cornerstone averaging 14.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.  Ellery Mast, playing in her first game of the season on Saturday, added 14 points and nine boards.  Cornerstone is shooting just 32.5% from the floor this season.

Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils have opened their season with four straight road games following an 85-82 loss at Indiana Tech last Saturday to open WHAC play.  Allison Kitchen leads the way for Lawrence Tech scoring 16.5 points per game while grabbing 7.3 rebounds per night.  Nine different Blue Devils are scoring six or more points per game.  Lawrence Tech is shooting 39.0% from the floor on the year.  The Blue Devils travel to Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday before hosting Lourdes on Saturday.

Facing Ranked Foes: The Gray Wolves are playing a top-25 opponent for the 19th time in program history when Lourdes battles #24 Cornerstone on Wednesday.  Lourdes is 1-17 all-time against ranked opponents with the lone win coming at #18 Indiana-Northwest 79-75 on Nov. 5, 2011.

Still the Best Start to the Season: Lourdes 4-2 mark to the 2014-2015 season is the program's best six-game start in history.  Lourdes went 4-4 to open the 2011-2012 season but was just 2-4 through six contests.  The earliest the Gray Wolves have ever won their fifth game in a year was Jan. 5, 2013, the 17th game of the 2012-2013 season.

Quite the Offensive Output: Lourdes scored a school record 93 points last Tuesday evening against Kuyper.  The Gray Wolves previous highest scoring output was 91 points on three different occasions (Pittsburgh-Titusville, Nov. 19, 2011; Marygrove, Feb. 9, 2013; at Marygrove, Feb. 8, 2014).

Winning Big: Lourdes posted its largest margin of victory in program history, 49 points, in the win against Kuyper.  The Gray Wolves previous largest win total was 39, a 91-52 triumph, over Pittsburgh-Titusville on Nov. 18, 2011 during the program's inaugural season.

Nearing 1,000: Lauren Tilden is just 22 points shy of reaching the 1,000 point plateau for her career.  The senior would become just the second player in program history to reach this milestone, following Tarynn Hampton.  Tilden is averaging a team-leading 16.2 points per game this season.

Flores Tallies Career High: Rachel Flores scored a career-high 12 points off of the bench on Saturday against Michigan-Dearborn.  The junior made 4-of-9 from three-point range in the loss to the Wolverines.

Lourdes Tabbed 10th in Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in 10th place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  Lourdes was picked just ahead of Michigan-Dearborn, and just behind Concordia (Mich.).  Davenport was tabbed as the conference's preseason favorite for 2014-2015 after winning the conference title eight straight seasons.

Captains Named: Lourdes has two captains on the roster this season.  Serving in the leadership role for 2014-2015 are Lauren Tilden and Emily Orsini.  Tilden is a two-time team captain, having also served in that role in 2012-2013, while Orsini is in her first season as a team captain.

This and That: As a team Lourdes ranks 14th nationally averaging 17.3 offensive rebounds per game ... the Gray Wolves are 26th in the country holding opponents to just 26.8% shooting from three-point range ... Lauren Tilden ranks 23rd in NAIA Division II tallying 2.8 triples per contest ... Lourdes has used the same starting lineup of Tilden, Emily Orsini, Jesse Fidler, Molea Thompson, and Jessica Durr in all six games.
