Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: After playing six straight Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contests, Lourdes steps away from league action on Tuesday night as the Gray Wolves "host" Cincinnati Christian on the campus of Adrian College. Lourdes returns to WHAC action on Saturday when the Gray Wolves travel to Madonna.
Head Coach Karen McConnell: In her second season on the Lourdes bench
Karen McConnell has an 11-29 (.275) record. Overall as a women's collegiate head coach, McConnell has a 291-276 (.513) record in her 22nd season. She is only the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes is 1-0 all-time against Cincinnati Christian after defeating the Eagles 70-66 in overtime on Nov. 3 of this season.Â
Lauren Tilden scored 16 points and
Emily Orsini added 14 points for the Gray Wolves in the win in Cincinnati. Alizabeth Moorman and Amanda Baute paced Cincinnati Christian with 18 points each. Madonna is 6-0 all-time against Lourdes, including 3-0 in Livonia, Mich. after sweeping last year's meetings. The Crusaders were 74-66 victors in Livonia and posted a 72-70 win at Tam-o-Shanter.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Aquinas battled back from a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat the Gray Wolves 69-67 on Wednesday evening.Â
Lauren Tilden scored 20 points while
Jessica Durr added 17 points and 16 boards in the loss. On Saturday, Lourdes committed 17 turnovers and shot just 52.2% from the free throw line in a 67-59 setback at Indiana Tech. Tilden tallied 28 points while
Jesse Fidler added 14 more for the Gray Wolves. Durr pulled down 11 rebounds.
Scouting Cincinnati Christian: The Eagles have won back-to-back games following a 68-58 victory at Wilberforce on Thursday evening. Alizabeth Moorman leads the Eagles averaging 14.9 points per game while Amanda Baute adds 14.6 points per contest. Baute is also grabbing 11.0 rebounds per night. Sydney Mason tallies 12.3 points per contest for Cincinnati Christian, giving the Eagles three double figure scorers. The Eagles are shooting 44.1% from the floor as a team but committing 21.0 turnovers per contest.
Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders enter the week having won six of their last seven games, including three straight, following an 89-87 overtime win on Saturday against Lawrence Tech. Madonna travels to a pair of NCAA Division I foes, Detroit and Eastern Michigan, this week before hosting Lourdes. Michele Hayes leads the Crusaders averaging 19.3 points per game. Lindsey Hernden adds 13.4 points while Justice Dean tallies 12.1 points per contest. Rachel Melcher is the team's leading rebounder, grabbing 9.6 boards per game.
Tilden Lights Up the Scoreboard: Lauren Tilden has played in three straight games in which she has tallied 20 or more points for the Gray Wolves, while accomplishing the feat four times already this year. The senior guard scored a career-high 33 points against Marygrove on Nov. 25 before adding 20 points against Aquinas and 28 points at Indiana Tech. For the season Tilden is averaging 17.9 points per contest, a mark that ranks 28th in NAIA Division II.
Durr Crashes the Glass: Jessica Durr has registered three straight double figure rebounding games for the Gray Wolves, including a career-high 16-board effort against Aquinas. Durr recorded her first collegiate double-double in the game against Aquinas, scoring 17 points as well. For the season the senior is grabbing 7.4 rebounds per night for Lourdes.
Best Start Ever: Lourdes 5-6 mark to the 2014-2015 season matches the program's best 11-game start in history. Prior to this season the earliest the Gray Wolves had ever won their fifth game in a year was Jan. 5, 2013, the 17th game of the 2012-2013 season. Lourdes has already matched the 2011-2012 season's entire victory total and is just one win away from equalling last year's total number of triumphs.
Dialing Long Distance: Lauren Tilden ranks third in all of NAIA Division II averaging 3.545 three-point field goals per game this season. Her 39 triples per contest are tied for second most among all players, trailing just Amanda Weber's 42 threes from Johnson & Wales.
Getting to the Glass: Lourdes has created numerous second chance scoring opportunities this season after averaging 15.3 offensive rebounds per game. The Gray Wolves rank 27th nationally in offensive rebounding.Â
Jesse Fidler leads the team in offensive rebounds, grabbing 32 missed shots.
A Model of Consistency: Lourdes has used the same starting lineup in all 11 games this year.Â

Home Away From Home: Lourdes is playing its fifth "home" game all-time at a site other than Tam-o-Shanter on Tuesday as the Gray Wolves have been displaced for Children's Wonderland. Lourdes is 0-1 all-time playing home games at Adrian College, falling 101-86 to Indiana Tech during the 2012-2013 season.
Captains Named: Lourdes has two captains on the roster this season. Serving in the leadership role for 2014-2015 are

Emily Orsini. Tilden is a two-time team captain, having also served in that role in 2012-2013, while Orsini is in her first season as a team captain.
