Scouting Cincinnati Christian: The Eagles finished the 2014-2015 season with a 15-16 record overall and an 8-7 mark in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, finishing in a tie for third in the Capital Division.  Cincinnati Christian opens the season on Thursday hosting Milligan before traveling to Lourdes.  Brianna Ruffin is the team's top returning scorer, having averaged 9.4 points per game last year.  The Eagles have five players returning that have experience from last season's squad.

Lourdes Tabbed 10th in Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in 10th place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  Lourdes was picked just ahead of Michigan-Dearborn, and just behind Concordia (Mich.).  Davenport was tabbed as the conference's preseason favorite for 2015-2016 after winning the conference title nine straight seasons.

Lourdes in Openers: This will mark the fifth straight season the Gray Wolves will open the year at home.  Lourdes is 2-2 all-time in season openers after scoring an 87-77 victory over Rochester (Mich.) last season.  Lourdes also posted a 62-56 win over Indiana-South Bend to open 2012-2013.  In the Gray Wolves inaugural opener in 2011-2012, Lourdes fell 93-59 to eighth-ranked Concordia (Mich.) and dropped a 70-50 decision to #4 Saint Francis (Ind.) in 2013-2014.

Offensive Glass: Jesse Fidler ranked 41st in all of NAIA last season, grabbing 3.13 offensive rebounds per game.

Lots of New Faces: Lourdes has nine newcomers on its roster this season, including seven freshmen.  The Gray Wolves have just two seniors on the squad this year, Constance Conner and Charee Jones.

Defending the Arc: The Gray Wolves ranked 39th in all of NAIA Division II in 2014-2015 in three-point field goal percentage defense.  Lourdes limited the opposition to just 29.3% shooting from long range.

Captains Named: Lourdes has two sophomore captains on the roster this season.  Serving in the leadership role for 2015-2016 are Jesse Fidler and Niki Meyer.  The duo both had successful freshmen campaigns with the Gray Wolves.

This and That: The Gray Wolves have never lost an overtime game in program history, entering this season 4-0 all-time ... Jesse Fidler and Molea Thompson are the only Gray Wolves to have started a game in their career ... Fidler shot a team-best 44.8% from the floor last season.
