Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Lourdes steps out of conference on Tuesday evening to "host" Akron Wayne on the campus of Adrian College. The Gray Wolves head to Grand Rapids, Mich. on Saturday to face eighth-ranked Davenport in the final Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference game of the 2015 calendar year.
Head Coach Karen McConnell: In her second season on the Lourdes bench
Karen McConnell has a 17-53 (.243) record. Overall as a women's collegiate head coach, McConnell has a 297-300 (.497) record in her 22nd season. She is only the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes is 1-0 all-time against Akron Wayne after defeating the Warriors 68-20 on the road on Nov. 7, 2015. This will be Akron Wayne's first trip to face the Gray Wolves in a Lourdes "home" contest. Lourdes and Davenport is 8-0 all-time against Lourdes in a series that dates back to Jan. 4, 2012 after sweeping a pair of meetings last year. The Panthers won 96-34 in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Jan. 14, 2015 before downing Lourdes 79-48 at Tam-o-Shanter on Feb. 18, 2015. Davenport holds a 4-0 series edge in Grand Rapids.
Earlier This Season: Lourdes allowed just four first half points on Nov. 7 on the way to a 68-20 victory over Akron Wayne in Orrville, Ohio. The Gray Wolves led 37-4 at the break and finished the game holding the Warriors to just 9.1% shooting from the floor on the afternoon.Â

Mariah DuPree led Lourdes with 11 points each in the victory. Taleya Clark led Akron Wayne with 11 points.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes fell behind by 25 points at halftime and was never able to recover on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves suffered a 94-72 defeat on the road at Indiana Tech. The Warriors shot 50% from the floor and made 15 three-point field goals in the victory.Â
Jesse Fidler led Lourdes with 15 points while
Molea Thompson added 14 points off of the bench. On Saturday the Gray Wolves dropped an 83-60 decision at home to Lawrence Tech as the Blue Devils shot 55.6% from the floor and forced 19 Gray Wolf turnovers. Fidler led Lourdes with 15 points while

Niki Meyer each added 11 points.
Scouting Akron Wayne: The Warriors entered last week's contests still looking for their first victory of the year. Akron Wayne had just five players in the first meeting between the two schools, with Taleya Clark leading the way with 11 points. Sarah Berry added seven points, 11 rebounds, and three steals for Akron Wayne.
Scouting Davenport: The Panthers enter the week having won seven straight games after defeating Northwestern Ohio on the road 85-78 on Saturday afternoon. Davenport hosts Indiana Northwest on Friday night before entertaining the Gray Wolves. Tiesha Stokes leads Davenport averaging 16.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game on the season while shooting 76.5% from the floor, a mark that leads all of NAIA Division II. Alex Law adds 14.2 points per contest for the Panthers. As a team, Davenport is outscoring opponents by 29.3 points per night, the biggest margin in the country.
Home Away from Home: Tuesday's game at Adrian College marks the third time that Lourdes has played a "home" game at the Merillat Sports and Fitness Center with Tam-o-Shanter being unavailable due to its annual Winter Wonderland exhibition. The Gray Wolves fell to Indiana Tech in Adrian 101-86 on Dec. 15, 2012 and dropped a 59-58 contest on Dec. 9, 2014 in the two previous contests at Merillat Center.
Shooting Slowly Improving: After shooting better than 40% from the floor in just three of their first eight games this season, the Gray Wolves have connected at a 41% clip or better in three straight contests. Lourdes is also shooting 45.2% from three-point range (19-of-42) during the three-game stretch, significantly higher than the team's season average of 30.9% from long range.
Second Quarter Woes: Lourdes is outscoring its opponents in every quarter except the second this season, where the Gray Wolves have surrendered 61 more points to the opposition than they have scored. Only in the first Akron Wayne contest has Lourdes tallied more points than its opponent in the second period.
Among the Nation's Leaders: Lourdes has limited its opponents to 61.09 points per game this season, a mark that ranks 31st in NAIA Division II. Lourdes also ranks in the top-50 nationally as a team averaging 9.73 steals per contest.
Among the National Leaders Individually: Jesse Fidler ranks seventh in NAIA individually with 32 steals on the season and her 2.91 thefts per night rank 19th in NAIA Division II.Â
Constance Conner sports a 3.0 assist-to-turnover ratio, a mark that is eighth nationally. Fidler also ranks 10th in the country in field goal percentage, connecting at a 58.6% clip.
Captains Named: Lourdes has two sophomore captains on the roster this season. Serving in the leadership role for 2015-2016 are
Jesse Fidler and
Niki Meyer. The duo both had successful freshmen campaigns with the Gray Wolves.
This and That: Mariah DuPree scored a career-high 12 points last week at Indiana Tech ...
