Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Having won four of its last five games, Lourdes heads into the final week of the 2014-2015 regular season jockeying for position in the upcoming WHAC tournament. The Gray Wolves will face a pair of nationally-ranked foes to close out the year though, as Davenport visits Tam-o-Shanter on Wednesday evening for Senior Night before Lourdes travels to Northwestern Ohio on Saturday for the season finale.
Head Coach Andre Smith: In his fifth season both on the Lourdes bench and overall as a men's collegiate head coach,
Andre Smith has a 84-71 (.542) record. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history. Smith was the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2012-2013.
Series Notes: Davenport holds a 7-2 series edge against Lourdes dating back to Jan. 4, 2012. The two schools have split their last four meetings though, with the Panthers scoring a 79-41 victory earlier this year in Grand Rapids, Mich. Davenport holds a 2-1 series advantage in games played at Tam-o-Shanter. Lourdes holds a 6-4 advantage all-time against Northwestern Ohio in a series dating back to Dec. 30, 2010. The Racers have won four straight in the series after posting a 63-50 victory earlier this season on Jan. 3 at Tam-o-Shanter. Lourdes holds a 3-2 series advantage in games played in Lima, Ohio.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Zach Steinmetz and
