Head Coach Josh Gibson: In his first season on the Lourdes bench Josh Gibson has a 3-14 (.176) record.  Overall as a men's collegiate head coach, Gibson has a 63-70 (.474) record in his fifth season.  He is only the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes leads the all-time series against Siena Heights 8-4 dating back to Nov. 11, 2011.  The Saints swept last year's meetings though, posting a 66-64 win in Adrian, Mich. before downing Lourdes 68-65 at Owens CC in the regular season finale.  The Gray Wolves went 4-0 against the Saints at Tam-o-Shanter.  The Gray Wolves hold a 7-4 edge all-time against Michigan-Dearborn in a series that began on Jan. 14, 2012.  Lourdes won the first meeting this season, 68-64, at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center on Nov. 19.  The Wolverines hold a 4-1 series edge in games played in Dearborn, Mich.

Earlier This Season: Najeeb Johnson scored 18 points and Levert Bristol added 16 more as the Gray Wolves defeated Michigan-Dearborn 68-64 at the Ebeid Rec Center on Nov. 19.  Lourdes shot 56% from the floor for the game, including a blistering 60.9% in the second half, to earn the win.  Cody Kegley led the Wolverines with 18 points off of the bench.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes shot 51.8% from the floor on Wednesday but could not overcome a 56% shooting clip by 25th-ranked Northwestern Ohio, falling to the Racers 92-79 on the road.  Anthony Swanigan led Lourdes with 27 points while Najeeb Johnson added 20 more.  Saturday the Gray Wolves snapped their losing skid with a 71-63 win at Lawrence Tech.  Lourdes shot 55.6% from the floor over the final 20 minutes.  Johnson led Lourdes with 18 points while Swanigan added 17 more.

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints have dropped four straight games after suffering a 64-61 setback at home against Marygrove on Saturday night.  Tony Jackson II leads Siena Heights in scoring, averaging 12.2 points per game while Christopher Pearl and Jerrell Martin contribute 12.1 points per contest each.  Siena Heights ranks seventh in NAIA Division II allowing just 69.8 points per game.

Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines enter the week having won four of their last five games after defeating Madonna 91-71 on Saturday afternoon.  Michigan-Dearborn heads to Aquinas on Wednesday before hosting Lourdes.  Marcus Williams leads the Wolverines averaging 16.8 points per contest while Jason Penn adds 14.6 points per night.  Xavier Crofford gives Michigan-Dearborn three double figure scorers, tallying 11.4 points per outing.  The Wolverines rank sixth nationally averaging 4.79 blocks per game, having already rejected 91 shots this year.

Reaching the Midway Point: After Wednesday's game with Siena Heights, the Gray Wolves will have completed the first half of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play.  Lourdes is just 1.5 games out of the final WHAC tournament spot, and just one game behind in the loss column.  Concordia currently holds the eighth and final tournament position.  The Gray Wolves are looking to return to the WHAC tournament for the first time since 2015.

Losing Skids Ended: Lourdes' victory at Lawrence Tech ended a pair of long losing streaks for the Gray Wolves.  Overall, Lourdes had dropped eight straight games this season, the longest such streak in program history.  In addition, the victory snapped a 10-game road losing streak which dated back to February of 2016.

Swanigan Making a Difference: Anthony Swanigan has returned to action for just four games thus far this season, but his presence is already making a difference.  The senior is averaging a team-high 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while shooting 65.9% from the floor, including 55.6% from three-point range.  Swanigan scored a career-high 27 points last Wednesday at Northwestern Ohio.

Heating Up from the Floor: Lourdes has shot at least 50% from the field in three straight games dating back to Dec. 20 against Rochester (Mich.).  The Gray Wolves previously had shot 50% or better just once in the first 14 games of the year (Nov. 19 vs. Michigan-Dearborn).

Making Free Throws Down the Stretch: Lourdes has struggled from the free throw line, making just 60.1% of their attempts from the charity stripe this year.  However, after starting the game just 7-of-18 from the line at Lawrence Tech, the Gray Wolves connected on five-of-six in the final 60 seconds to secure the victory.

Among Nation's Leaders: Malik Thurman ranks 42nd in all of NAIA Division II averaging 1.24 blocked shots this season.  As a team, Lourdes is allowing 76.88 points per game, a mark that ranks 49th nationally.

This and That: The win against Lawrence Tech was the first one this for the Gray Wolves when shooting a lower percentage from the free throw line than their opposition ...
