Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Lourdes takes to the road for the first time in the 2017-2018 season this week, as the Gray Wolves have two contests on the slate.  Lourdes begins with a trip to Wright State-Lake on Tuesday evening before heading to Kentucky on Friday night to battle Midway.

Head Coach Summer Quesenberry: In her second season on the Lourdes bench Summer Quesenberry has an 8-23 (.258) record with the Gray Wolves.  Overall as a women's collegiate head coach, Quesenberry has a 61-91 (.401) record in her fifth season.  She is the third head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes and Wright State-Lake are meeting on the hardwood for the first time ever in women's basketball on Tuesday night.  Midway holds a 1-0 all-time advantage against the Gray Wolves in a series that began Oct. 29, 2016.  The Eagles defeated Lourdes 92-75 inside the Ebeid Rec Center to tip off the 2016-2017 season in the only previous meeting between the two schools.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes limited Great Lakes Christian to just 26.7% shooting in the first half and built an 11-point halftime lead on the way to a 79-63 victory over the Crusaders.  Sydney Miller scored 21 points, making five three-pointers, in the victory while Daija Stafford added 14 more points off the  bench.  Erin Manley also finished in double figures with 10 points in the win.

Scouting Wright State-Lake: The Lakers are still looking for their first victory of the season after suffering a 98-51 setback to Rochester (Mich.) on the road on Oct. 28.  Nicole Fogt leads Wright State-Lake averaging 17.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game on the season, and is the only Laker to average in double figures.  As a team, Wright State-Lake is shooting 25.5% from the floor and has been outrebounded by 26.5 boards per night.

Scouting Midway: The Eagles enter the week following a 78-46 victory at home against Cincinnati-Clermont on Friday evening, and will play at the University of the Cumberlands on Tuesday prior to hosting Lourdes.  Timitryi Patterson leads Midway averaging 13.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.  Kelsee Kinder and Haleigh Yazell have added 10.3 points per night thus far for Midway.  As a team the Eagles are shooting 43.3% from the floor and outrebounding foes by 8.7 caroms per contest.

Looking for Back-to-Back Wins: Lourdes is looking to start a season 2-0 for just the second time in program history.  The Gray Wolves won their first three games in the 2014-2015 campaign, the only other season with back-to-back victories to start the year.

Quite a Gray Wolf Debut: Sydney Miller made the most of her first game wearing the terra cotta and black, scoring a game-high 21 points against Great Lakes Christian.  The junior transfer from Edison State Community College shot 53.3% from the floor, including 5-of-11 (45.5%) from three-point range while adding a team-high three steals defensively.  Miller also handed out a pair of assists and grabbed three rebounds.

Production from the Bench: Lourdes' bench scored nearly half of its points in the season opener against Great Lakes Christian, pouring in 39 of the team's 79 total points.  Daija Stafford led the way in her collegiate debut, scoring 14 points off the bench while LaTyrah Beasley added seven more in a reserve role.  In all, 11 of the 13 players that saw action for the Gray Wolves found the scoring column by the end of the night.

Crashing the Boards: The Gray Wolves outrebounded Great Lakes Christian 59-49 in the season opener, including a 22-13 edge on the offensive glass.  Erin Manley pulled down a team-high nine boards while Christiana Jefferson, Samantha Enck, and LaTyrah Beasley each added eight rebounds.  Lourdes finished with a 24-8 advantage in second chance points.

Taking Care of the Basketball: Christiana Jefferson handed out six assists in her first game at Lourdes.  The junior point guard did not commit a turnover in her 27 minutes of action.

Lourdes Tabbed 10th in Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in 10th place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  Lourdes was picked just ahead of Michigan-Dearborn, and just behind Northwestern Ohio.  Indiana Tech was chosen as the preseason favorite after last year's champion, Davenport, left the NAIA for NCAA Division II.

This and That: Lourdes is 3-3 all-time in its first road games of the season ... only Christiana Jefferson played more than 23 minutes for the Gray Wolves in the season opener ... Lourdes held Great Lakes Christian to just 15.4% shooting (2-of-13) in the first quarter of the season ... the Gray Wolves outscored the Crusaders in every quarter.
