Series Notes: Lourdes and Bowling Green have never met on the hardwood in regular season or exhibition action.  Lourdes and Kent State-Tuscarawas are meeting for the first time on Friday evening.  Lourdes holds a 6-0 series edge all-time against Akron Wayne dating back to Nov. 8, 2014.  The Gray Wolves defeated the Warriors earlier this season on Dec. 19 in Orrville, Ohio 88-57.  Lourdes won the only previous game played in the Ebeid Rec Center, 83-48, on Oct. 29, 2016.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes was tied with Rochester (Mich.) in the final minute on Dec. 14 before the Warriors scored the game's final six points to earn a 67-61 victory over the Gray Wolves.  Jordan Fabry led Lourdes with 17 points while Malik Thurman added 11 more.  On Tuesday (Dec. 19), the Gray Wolves snapped an eight-game losing skid with an 88-57 victory at Akron Wayne.  Fabry tallied 14 points while Vic McEwen added 13 more off the bench.

Scouting Kent State-Tuscarawas: The Golden Eagles have dropped two straight games after falling 90-51 at Rochester (Mich.) on Dec. 18.  Kent State-Tuscarawas hosts Stratford  twice (Dec. 21 and 22) and Villa Maria (Dec. 28) before traveling to Lourdes.  Gunnar Tharp leads the Golden Eagles averaging 23.8 points per game while Zach Camporese adds 17.7 points per contest.

Scouting Akron Wayne: The Warriors enter the game at Lourdes having dropped eight straight games after suffering an 88-70 loss at Indiana-South Bend on Dec. 20.  Deirre Powell led Akron Wayne with 20 points and 10 rebounds in the first meeting between the Gray Wolves and Warriors this season while Kylan Richburg added 11 points.

Lourdes in Division I Exhibitions: Lourdes is 0-2 all-time in exhibition games against NCAA Division I foes, having faced a Mid-American Conference opponent each time.  The Gray Wolves suffered a 106-51 setback at Western Michigan earlier this season on Oct. 29 while dropping an 87-66 contest at Central Michigan on Dec. 31, 2015.

The 2017 Calendar Year: Heading into the final two games of the 2017 calendar year, Lourdes has posted a 10-18 record.  Twice the Gray Wolves have won three straight contests, and will be looking to close the year the same way.
