Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Lourdes plays its lone home game in a five-week stretch on Wednesday evening, as the Gray Wolves host second-ranked Cornerstone. A four-game road trip follows, beginning Saturday, for the Gray Wolves, when Lourdes heads to fifth-ranked Indiana Tech. Wednesday's home game is the final one inside the Ebeid Rec Center until after Christmas for the Gray Wolves.
On the Air: Wednesday's game against Cornerstone will be broadcast live on BCSN as part of Buckeye Broadband. The game will also be replayed on BCSN on Friday at 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. while BCSN2 will show the game on Thursday at 3 p.m.
Head Coach Josh Gibson: In his second season on the Lourdes bench
Josh Gibson has an 11-28 (.282) record. Overall as a men's collegiate head coach, Gibson has a 72-86 (.456) record in his sixth season. He is only the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Cornerstone holds a 13-1 all-time series advantage against Lourdes dating back to Dec. 10, 2011, and has won 11 straight contests against the Gray Wolves. Last year the Golden Eagles notched an 83-64 victory in the first meeting ever in the Ebeid Rec Center before downing Lourdes 90-60 in Grand Rapids, Mich. Indiana Tech holds an 8-6 series advantage against the Gray Wolves dating back to Oct. 30, 2010. Last season the Warriors scored a 67-65 victory in overtime in the Ebeid Rec Center before defeating Lourdes 74-60 in Fort Wayne, Ind. Indiana Tech holds a 4-3 edge in games played in Fort Wayne.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes shot just 34.4% from the floor last Wednesday and suffered an 81-66 setback to Madonna in Livonia, Mich.Â

Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles have won 10 straight contests after defeating fifth-ranked Indiana Tech 83-65 at home on Saturday. Kyle Steigenga leads Cornerstone averaging 20.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per game while Sam Vander Sluis adds 15.9 points and a team-leading 11.3 boards per night. Michael Bradshaw adds 13.7 points per game for a team scoring 81.8 points per outing and shooting 50.0% from the floor.
Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors have dropped back-to-back games after opening the season 8-0 after falling 83-65 at second-ranked Cornerstone on Saturday. Indiana Tech travels to Aquinas on Saturday before hosting Lourdes. Darren Groves leads the Warriors averaging 14.5 points per outing while grabbing a team-best 6.6 rebounds per night. Dylan Phair adds 13.5 points per contest while Max Huber chips in 12.7 points per game. Joel Wincowski is the fourth Warrior tallying double figures, scoring 10.2 points per night. As a team, Indiana Tech is scoring 79.6 points per contest while shooting 46.3% from the floor.
Filling the Stat Sheet: Clif Snow has done a little of everything for the Gray Wolves during his rookie season. Last Wednesday against Madonna, Snow poured in 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and led the team with three assists and three blocked shots. For the season Snow is tallying 12.7 points per game, second best on the squad, while leading the team in rebounds (6.3 per game) and blocked shots (9). In addition, he is second on the team with 20 assists and has made a team-high 15 three-point field goals.
Facing Ranked Foes: Lourdes will play a pair of NAIA top-five opponents this week in Cornerstone and Indiana Tech. The Gray Wolves are 8-40 all-time against ranked foes, having last defeated on Feb. 18, 2015, a 53-32 win over fourth-ranked Davenport. Lourdes has dropped 17 straight games against top-25 competition, including all nine during last year's campaign. The Gray Wolves have previously faced top-five opponents 16 times, posting a 1-15 record.
Connecting from the Line: Clif Snow ranks 20th nationally among all NAIA Division II players shooting 88.4% from the free throw line. The freshman has connected on 38-of-43 this season, helping Lourdes shoot at a 68.6% clip for the year as a team.
70 (Or is it 60) is the Magic Number: Lourdes is 4-0 this season when scoring 70 points or more this season. However, the Gray Wolves have yet to win a game this year when failing to reach the 60-point mark in a game.
Getting Defensive: Lourdes is allowing just 70.9 points per game on the season, a mark that ranks 18th among all NAIA Division II teams. In addition, the Gray Wolves are 40th in the nation allowing opponents to shoot just 42.7% from the floor.
Lourdes Tabbed 10th in Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in 10th place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches. Lourdes was picked just ahead of Lawrence Tech and just behind Concordia (Mich.) in the league balloting. Cornerstone was the unanimous pick to win the WHAC in 2017-2018, and is the preseason #1 team in the nation in NAIA Division II.
This and That: Not one Gray Wolf has started every game this season ... Lourdes is committing just 12.9 turnovers per game this season ... the Gray Wolves are averaging 10.9 offensive rebounds per contest.
