at Aquinas (11-10, 7-4 WHAC)
Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center - Grand Rapids, Mich.

Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Having won six of its last seven regular season contests, Lourdes University takes to the road this week with just one game on the schedule.  The Gray Wolves travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. on Wednesday evening, to battle Aquinas.

Head Coach Josh Gibson: In his second season on the Lourdes bench Josh Gibson has a 17-32 (.347) record with the Gray Wolves.  Overall as a men's collegiate head coach, Gibson has a 78-90 (.464) record in his sixth season.  He is only the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Aquinas leads the all-time series against Lourdes 7-6 dating back to Nov. 30, 2011.  The Saints have won six straight meetings in the series though after posting a 77-59 win earlier this season on Nov. 15 inside the Ebeid Rec Center in the WHAC opener for both teams.  Aquinas holds a 4-2 series advantage in games played in Grand Rapids.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes earned its first WHAC road victory of the season on Wednesday evening, defeating Siena Heights 69-57.  Clif Snow scored a team-high 17 points while Malik Thurman added 14 more for the Gray Wolves.  Lourdes added another victory at home on Saturday, as the Gray Wolves defeated Michigan-Dearborn 59-49.  Jordan Fabry tallied 18 points while Thurman tallied 11 more.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints have won two straight games and three of their last four overall after defeating Rochester (Mich.) 67-55 on the road Saturday afternoon.  Arsenio Arrington paces Aquinas offensively, averaging 16.2 points per game, while also grabbing a team-leading 6.3 rebounds per contest.  Rob Deiz adds 9.4 points per outing.  As a team Aquinas is shooting 46.6% from the floor and scoring 71.1 points per night while surrendering 71.4 points per game.

Returning to .500: Lourdes has reached the .500 mark for the season for the first time since late November when the Gray Wolves were 4-4 on the year.  This is the latest Lourdes has been at the .500 mark during a season since ending the 2014-2015 campaign with a 17-14 record.

Reaching 10 Wins: With the victory over Michigan-Dearborn, the Gray Wolves have reached the 10-win plateau, matching the most victories for Lourdes in a season since 2014-2015.  The Gray Wolves also won 10 games during the 2015-2016 campaign, and have surpassed last season's win total of seven.

Game #50 for Gibson: Wednesday's game at Aquinas will mark the 50th game on the Gray Wolf bench for head coach Josh Gibson.  The second year head coach arrived at Lourdes prior to the 2016-2017 season and has been a head coach for 169 career games.

Playing Solid Defense: Lourdes ranks third among all NAIA Division II schools in scoring defense, allowing just 66.9 points per game.  The Gray Wolves have ranked in the top-seven nationally in scoring defense every season except last year dating back to 2011-2012.  Last season the Gray Wolves finished 28th in the country allowing 74.0 points per night.  Lourdes led the country in 2012-2013, surrendering just 51.3 points per game that season.

Thurman Leading the Offense: Malik Thurman is averaging a team-leading 11.3 points per game this season for the Gray Wolves.  The senior is shooting 52.3% from the floor, including a team-best 51.7% from three-point range on the year.  Thurman has finished in double figures in 13 of his 20 games this season, adding nine points on two other occasions.

Spreading Out the Minutes: Lourdes has shared its court time throughout the season.  Only four players are averaging more than 20 minutes per game, led by Clif Snow's 27.8 minutes per night.  The Gray Wolves have 11 players averaging at least 11 minutes per game this year though.

Dishing the Rock: Kadeim Jones leads Lourdes with 52 assists on the season while Clif Snow has added 43 more.  Both players have a positive assist-to-turnover ratio, having committed just 35 and 28 turnovers respectively.  Evan Vasquez, who is third on the roster with 26 helpers also has a positive ratio, having committed just 19 miscues this year.

Connecting from the Line: Clif Snow ranks 35th nationally among all NAIA Division II players shooting 83.9% from the free throw line.  The freshman has connected on 52-of-62 this season.  Kadeim Jones has also been solid from the charity stripe on the year, shooting 81.3% after making 39-of-48 attempts.

Among the Nation's Best: The Gray Wolves rank 16th nationally recording 8.65 steals per game this season while the team's field goal percentage defense of 41.7% is 17th best in the country.  Lourdes is 24th in turnover margin at 2.75 while its three-point field goal percentage defense ranks 37th.  Lourdes is also 46th in the nation blocking 2.95 shots per night.
