Looking to Finish .500 in January: With a victory over Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday, Lourdes would finish the month of January with a .500 record at 4-4. The Gray Wolves also finished .500 in December and went 1-0 in October, leaving just November as the month Lourdes failed to win as many games as they lost.
Playing Solid Defense: Lourdes ranks sixth among all NAIA Division II schools in scoring defense, allowing just 68.1 points per game. The Gray Wolves have ranked in the top-seven nationally in scoring defense every season except last year dating back to 2011-2012. Last season the Gray Wolves finished 28th in the country allowing 74.0 points per night. Lourdes led the country in 2012-2013, surrendering just 51.3 points per game that season.
Perfection: For a team that finished last in college basketball in free throw shooting one season ago at 57.7%, Lourdes has made significant strides from the charity stripe this season. The Gray Wolves are shooting 66.3% from the line in 2017-2018, highlighted by perfect 100% shooting (11-for-11) on Saturday against Indiana Tech.
Reaching 10 Wins: With the victory over Michigan-Dearborn on Jan. 13, the Gray Wolves have reached the 10-win plateau, matching the most victories for Lourdes in a season since 2014-2015. The Gray Wolves also won 10 games during the 2015-2016 campaign, and have surpassed last season's win total of seven.
