Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball:  Lourdes closes out the first half of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Wednesday evening, traveling to Siena Heights.  The Gray Wolves return home on Saturday to begin round two of league play, hosting Michigan-Dearborn, before beginning a season-long four-game road trip on Sunday afternoon with a non-conference tilt at Olivet.

Head Coach Summer Quesenberry: In her second season on the Lourdes bench Summer Quesenberry has a 14-32 (.304) record with the Gray Wolves.  Overall as a women's collegiate head coach, Quesenberry has a 67-100 (.401) record in her fifth season.  She is the third head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Siena Heights is 12-0 all-time against Lourdes in a series that dates back to Dec. 3, 2011.  Last season the Saints posted a 68-43 victory over the Gray Wolves at the Ebeid Rec Center and a 96-72 triumph in Adrian, Mich., where Siena Heights is 6-0 all-time against Lourdes.  The Gray Wolves hold a 7-6 series advantage against Michigan-Dearborn dating back to Jan. 14, 2012.  Lourdes earned a 67-59 win in Dearborn, Mich. earlier this season on Nov. 18, and defeated the Wolverines 81-71 in the Ebeid Rec Center last year.  Lourdes is 1-0 all-time against Olivet, as the Gray Wolves notched a 76-69 victory over the Comets on Nov. 26, 2016 in Olivet, Mich.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes returned to play from the holiday break on Wednesday (Jan. 3), suffering an 85-58 setback to Northwestern Ohio inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  LaTyrah Beasley led the Gray Wolves with 19 points while Sydney Miller added 14 points.  Lourdes wrapped up its homestand on Saturday (Jan. 6) with a 79-64 loss to 22nd-ranked Lawrence Tech.  Miller paced the Gray Wolves with 16 points while Beasley and Sara Semler each added 14 points.  

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints had their five-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday (Jan. 3), as Siena Heights suffered a 63-54 loss at Aquinas.  Demi Russell leads the Saints averaging 10.5 points per game as the only player tallying double figures.  Siena Heights has five players averaging at least eight points per contest his year though.  Sharmaine Wills has pulled down a team-high 7.7 rebounds per outing.  As a team Siena Heights is averaging 64.3 points per game and shooting 38.6% from the floor while allowing 63.3 points per contest.

Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines enter play this week having dropped three straight contests after suffering a 74-65 setback at Madonna on Saturday (Jan. 6).  Michigan-Dearborn hosts Aquinas on Wednesday prior to traveling to Lourdes.  Sade Lemons is the only Wolverine scoring in double figures on the season, averaging 12.5 points per game while also leading the team grabbing 5.4 boards per night.  As a team Michigan-Dearborn is shooting 35.3% from the floor and scoring 57.1 points per night while allowing 64.5 points per game.

Scouting Olivet: The Comets head into the week having dropped five consecutive contests after falling 68-43 at Trine last Saturday (Jan. 6).  Olivet hosts Kalamazoo on Saturday before entertaining Lourdes.  Kadesha Taylor leads the Comets averaging 10.4 points per game.  Olivet is shooting 34.7% from the floor and scoring 65.8 points per game this season while allowing 74.9 points per contest.

Semler Nears Career High: Sara Semler scored 14 points on Saturday against Lawrence Tech, finishing one point shy of her career high of 15 set at Albion back on Nov. 26.  The freshman made all four of her three-point attempts against the Blue Devils and is shooting a team-best 41.8% from beyond the arc this season.  

Beasley on a Scoring Spree: LaTyrah Beasley has increased her scoring averaging on the season to 8.5 points per game after four consecutive double figures performances.  The sophomore scored a career-high 19 points on Wednesday against Northwestern Ohio before following her effort up with 14 points against Lawrence Tech.

Spreading Out the Minutes: Lourdes has 13 players averaging at least 10 minutes per game this season, with only four players tallying more than 20 minutes per contest.  Sara Semler leads the way playing 26.1 minutes per night.

A Successful Non-Conference Slate: Lourdes enters the Olivet game on Sunday 5-2 in non-conference action this season.  The Gray Wolves have one final non-conference tilt next Saturday, when Lourdes travels to Wilberforce.

Among the Nation's Best: Sydney Miller is tallying 3.56 three-pointers per contest, a mark that ranks third nationally while her 57 total three-point field goals are sixth best. Christiana Jefferson ranks 12th among all NAIA Division II players with a 2.80 assist-to-turnover ratio and her 4.31 helpers per night are 27th best in the country.  Tatyana Reynolds is 39th in the nation making 2.62 triples per contest.   

Team National Rankings: As a team Lourdes ranks eighth nationally grabbing 16.63 offensive rebounds per game while the team's 9.00 three-pointers per contest are 16th best in the country.

This and That: Lourdes loss to Lawrence Tech marked the first time this season the Gray Wolves lost a game when shooting better than the opposition from the field ... Daija Stafford has 17 total rebounds this season, 12 of which are on the offensive end ... Tiera Thomas has blocked nine shots this year.
