Series Notes: Indiana-South Bend won the only previous meeting against Lourdes last season, a 76-69 double-overtime contest in South Bend, Ind. on Nov. 25, 2017.  This will be the Titans first appearance inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  Madonna holds a 10-8 all-time advantage against the Gray Wolves dating back to Nov. 6, 2010.  Last season the Crusaders won both meetings against Lourdes, 81-66 in Livonia, Mich. and 75-64 inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  All-time, the Gray Wolves hold a 5-4 edge in the series in games played in Livonia.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes built an 11-point halftime lead on Tuesday and defeated Wright State-Lake 78-64 at home.  Brett Lauf led four Gray Wolves in double figures with 23 points while Clif Snow registered a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.  Julian Egbo (14 points) and Desmond Frazier (11 points) both tallied double figures as well for Lourdes.  The Gray Wolves overcame a one-point halftime deficit on the road Saturday to defeat Carlow 65-62 in Pittsburgh, Pa.  Snow scored 15 points and grabbed nine boards while Kadeim Jones added 13 points.

Scouting Indiana-South Bend: The Titans have dropped four of their last five games following a 78-73 setback on the road at 23rd-ranked Bethel (Ind.) on Friday evening.  Dylan Allen leads four Titans averaging in double figures with 15.8 points per game.  Norell Smith adds 11.8 points per night for Indiana-South Bend while grabbing a team-high 7.2 rebounds per game.  Myles Simmons contributes 11.0 points per outing and Miles Tracy chips in 10.3 points per contest.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders had their four-game winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 91-67 loss at 23rd-ranked Bethel (Ind.).  Madonna hosts Lawrence Tech on Wednesday before entertaining Lourdes.  Dwight Burton leads the Crusaders in scoring, averaging 21.2 points per game while Jonathan Swift adds 15.4 points and a team-high 6.0 rebounds per contest.  Joshua Reynolds is scoring 12.8 points per game while Mark Mettie adds 11.8 points per night.

Lourdes in WHAC Openers: Lourdes is 3-4 in program history in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference openers.  The Gray Wolves have dropped three straight contests to begin league play after falling 77-58 at home against Aquinas last season.  Lourdes last victory to begin conference play came against Michigan-Dearborn on Nov. 15, 2014.  The Gray Wolves are 2-2 in WHAC openers at home.

Lauf's String Snapped: Brett Lauf scored in double figures in each of his first four games at Lourdes after posting a season-high 23 points against Wright State-Lake last Tuesday.  The sophomore transfer was limited to just seven points on Saturday at Carlow to end his string, but still leads the team scoring 16.6 points per game.

Connecting from the Line: Lourdes is shooting 80.2% from the free throw line this season, having made 89 of its first 111 attempts.  The Gray Wolves rank eighth in NAIA Division II from the charity stripe.  Clif Snow leads the way shooting 84.6% (11-of-13) while Kadeim Jones is an 84.4% (27-of-32) shooter.  Last season Lourdes shot just 57.7% from the line as a team.

Another Double-Double for Snow: Clif Snow registered his second double-double of the year against Wright State-Lake last Tuesday, scoring 16 points while adding 13 rebounds.  The double-double was the fifth of Snow's career.  Snow nearly had two more double-doubles with 10 rebounds and nine points against East-West (Nov. 3) and 15 points and nine boards at Carlow ( Nov. 10).

Making Shots: After its opponents shot a better percentage from the floor than Lourdes in each of the first three games of the year, the Gray Wolves connected at a higher rate against both Wright State-Lake and Carlow last week.  Lourdes is now shooting 43.1% from the field while limiting the opposition to at 41.6% clip.

Frazier Connects from Deep: Desmond Frazier has made eight of his first 15 three-point attempts this season, connecting at a 53.3% clip from beyond the arc.  The Gray Wolf senior made just 21 total triples last season in 27 games.

Lourdes Tabbed Ninth in Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in ninth place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  Lourdes was picked just ahead of Northwestern Ohio and just behind Concordia (Mich.) in the league balloting.  Indiana Tech was the favorite to win the WHAC in 2018-2019.

This and That: Clif Snow ranks 28th in NAIA Division II grabbing 9.8 rebounds per game while Brett Lauf's 2.2 steals per contest are 31st best ... Kadeim Jones' next point will be the 300th of his career ... Lauf has handed out 22 assists while committing just 19 turnovers ... Lourdes has started the year 4-1 for the second straight season.
