Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: A pair of nationally-ranked foes that are tied for the top spot in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference are on the schedule this week for Lourdes University.  The Gray Wolves wrap up a three-game homestand on Wednesday evening entertaining Indiana Tech before taking to the road on Saturday to visit Cornerstone.  

Head Coach Josh Gibson: In his third season on the Lourdes bench Josh Gibson has a 23-44 (.343) record.  Overall as a men's collegiate head coach, Gibson has a 84-102 (.452) record in his seventh season.  He is only the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Indiana Tech holds a 10-6 series edge against Lourdes dating back to Oct. 30, 2010.  The Warriors have won the last six games between the two schools, including a 70-55 triumph in Fort Wayne, Ind. and a 73-70 victory inside the Ebeid Rec Center last season.  Indiana Tech is 2-0 against Lourdes inside the Ebeid Rec Center and 5-2 all-time on the Gray Wolves' home floor.  Cornerstone holds a 15-1 series advantage over Lourdes dating back to Dec. 10, 2011.  The Golden Eagles have won the last 13 meetings between the two teams, including a 72-64 win at Lourdes and an 82-52 victory in Grand Rapids, Mich. last season.  All-time, Cornerstone is 8-1 against the Gray Wolves in Grand Rapids.

Wrapping Up Last Week: In a game which had 11 lead changes, Rochester (Mich.) pulled away in the second half on Tuesday evening to defeat Lourdes 82-76 inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  Kadeim Jones scored 28 points to lead the Gray Wolves while Bryce McComb scored 14 points off the bench.  Clif Snow had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.  On Saturday, Lourdes shot 67.7% from the floor in the opening stanza on the way to a 97-76 victory over Great Lakes Christian at home.  Snow paced the Gray Wolves with 28 points and 12 boards while Jones added 25 points.  Christian Wagenhauser tallied 11 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and added five steals.

Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors have won five straight games following an 88-78 victory at home against Indiana-Kokomo on Saturday afternoon.  Joel Wincowski leads four Indiana Tech players averaging in double figures, tallying 15.4 points per game.  Logan Primerano adds 14.7 points per night while Dylan Phair is scoring 12.7 points per contest.  Darren Groves chips in 12.6 points per contest while grabbing a team-leading 9.7 rebounds per game.  As a team the Warriors are shooting 49.5% from the floor and 80.5% from the free throw line while averaging 87.9 points per game.

Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles have won four of their last five games after downing Hope 70-58 on Saturday as part of the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic.  Cornerstone hosts Lawrence Tech on Wednesday before entertaining Lourdes.  Sam Vander Sluis leads the Golden Eagles averaging 20.9 points and 14.0 rebounds per game.  He also leads all of NAIA Division II with 32 blocked shots.  Christian Rodriguez adds 14.9 points per outing while Riley Costen and Tyler Baker are chipping in 12.6 and 12.3 points per night respectively.

Facing Ranked Foes: With a pair of NAIA top-25 opponents on the slate for Lourdes this week, the Gray Wolves will look to snap a 21-game losing skid against ranked competition.  All-time, Lourdes is 8-44 against top-25 foes, with the last victory coming on Feb. 18, 2015, a 53-32 triumph over fourth-ranked Davenport.  Last season, the Gray Wolves dropped four games to ranked opposition, all to teams ranked in the top-five nationally.

Filling Up the Score Sheet: Kadeim Jones took over the team's scoring lead this season with a pair of big games last week.  The sophomore guard tallied a career-high 28 points against Rochester (Mich.) before adding 25 in the win over Great Lakes Christian.  Jones, who is now averaging 16.1 points per night, now has three games this season in which he has scored 25 or more points.

A Little of Everything: Brett Lauf has led Lourdes in assists in all but one game this season, averaging 5.2 per contest.  The Gray Wolf sophomore has 47 total assists, 13th most in NAIA Division II, while committing just 30 turnovers on the year.  Lauf also leads the Gray Wolves with 15 steals while shooting 51.1% from the floor.

Connecting from the Line: Lourdes is shooting 79.6% from the free throw line this season, having made 113 of its first 142 attempts.  The Gray Wolves rank 10th in NAIA Division II from the charity stripe.  This year, the Gray Wolves have shot a higher percentage than the opposition in each of the first nine games.

Snow Keeps Doubling it Up: Clif Snow registered his fourth and fifth double-doubles of the year last week with 11 points and 10 rebounds against Rochester (Mich.) and 28 points and 12 boards versus Great Lakes Christian.  Snow now has eight double-doubles in his career.

More Double Trouble: Christian Wagenhauser had his first double-double as a collegian on Saturday against Great Lakes Christian.  The rookie scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, six on the offensive end, while also adding five steals.

This and That: Clif Snow ranks 14th in NAIA Division II grabbing 10.0 rebounds per game ... Bryce McComb had his third double-figure scoring game of the season off the bench against Rochester (Mich.), tallying 14 points ... Lourdes had a season-low seven turnovers in the game against Rochester ... the Gray Wolves are unbeaten when outrebounding the opposition this season.
