Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Three games remain for Lourdes University before the Christmas break, beginning on Saturday afternoon with a home Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference clash with Michigan-Dearborn.  The Gray Wolves take to the road on Monday evening to face Kent State-Tuscarawas before closing out the pre-Christmas portion of the schedule on Wednesday with an exhibition game at Hillsdale.

Head Coach Josh Gibson: In his third season on the Lourdes bench Josh Gibson has a 24-47 (.338) record.  Overall as a men's collegiate head coach, Gibson has a 85-105 (.447) record in his seventh season.  He is only the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes holds an 8-6 series edge over Michigan-Dearborn in a series that began Jan. 24, 2012.  The two schools split a pair of meetings last season, with the Wolverines winning 72-52 in Dearborn and the Gray Wolves posting a 59-49 victory inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  Lourdes is 2-0 against Michigan-Dearborn inside the Ebeid Rec Center and 7-0 all-time in home games.  The Gray Wolves are 1-0 all-time against Kent State-Tuscarawas, winning 91-51 inside the Ebeid Rec Center on Dec. 29, 2017.  Lourdes will make its first trip to New Philadelphia, Ohio on Monday.  Lourdes will be meeting Hillsdale on the hardwood for the first time Wednesday in the exhibition contest.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Kadeim Jones scored 28 points and Brett Lauf added 23 more last Wednesday, but Siena Heights shot 57.4% from the floor as the Saints upended the Gray Wolves 93-78 in Adrian, Mich.  On Saturday, Lourdes rallied from an eight-point second half deficit to defeat Aquinas at home, 72-60.  Jones scored 22 points while Lauf added 15 more in the victory for the Gray Wolves.

Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines snapped a three-game losing skid on Tuesday evening with a 68-56 victory at home against Ohio Christian.  Mafiaioni Joyner leads Michigan-Dearborn averaging 13.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.  He ranks 14th in NAIA Division II in rebounding.  Jason Gigliotti has added 13.4 points per night while Cody Kegley is scoring 10.5 points per game.

Scouting Kent State-Tuscarawas: The Golden Eagles have dropped seven straight games entering the weekend after falling 80-78 at Penn Highlands last Friday.  Kent State-Tuscarawas hosts Andrews on Sunday before entertaining Lourdes.  Gunnar Tharp leads the Golden Eagles averaging 16.2 points per game while Malik Campbell adds 11.3 points per night.

Scouting Hillsdale: The Chargers had their three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 63-59 loss to Walsh.  Hillsdale entertains Lake Erie on Thursday before hosting Lourdes.  Dylan Lowry leads Hillsdale averaging 14.6 points per night while Davis Larson has added 12.1 points per game.

Filling the Scorebook: Kadeim Jones has scored 20 or more points in five of his last six games for the Gray Wolves, and now leads the team averaging 17.4 points per night, a mark that ranks fifth in the WHAC.  Jones matched his career high with 28 points at Siena Heights last Wednesday and added 22 more in the win over Aquinas on Saturday.  Jones is shooting 50.3% from the floor.

A Second Half Comeback: When Lourdes rallied from eight points down at the break to defeat Aquinas, it marked the second time this year the Gray Wolves won a game when trailing at halftime.  Lourdes also trailed Carlow 25-24 at intermission before posting a 65-62 victory.

70 is a Magic Number: Lourdes is undefeated, 5-0, when holding the opposition to less that 70 points this season.  The Gray Wolves have scored more than 70 points in all but two contests this year, a 65-62 win at Carlow and an 86-68 setback at Madonna.
