Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Lourdes looks for its first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference victory of the season this week. The Gray Wolves wrap up a two-game road trip on Wednesday evening with a trip to Siena Heights before returning home on Saturday afternoon to entertain Aquinas.
Head Coach Josh Gibson: In his third season on the Lourdes bench
Josh Gibson has a 23-46 (.333) record. Overall as a men's collegiate head coach, Gibson has a 84-104 (.447) record in his seventh season. He is only the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 9-7 series advantage against Siena Heights dating back to Nov. 12, 2011. The Saints have won five of the last six meetings between the two schools, with the two sides splitting last year's contests. Lourdes was a 69-57 victor in Adrian, Mich. before the Saints won 67-57 inside the Ebeid Rec Center. The series is tied 4-4 in Adrian. Aquinas holds an 8-6 series edge over the Gray Wolves dating back to Nov. 30, 2011. The Saints have won seven straight meetings in the series after sweeping last year's contests. Aquinas was a 77-58 victor inside the Ebeid Rec Center and a 73-39 winner in Grand Rapids, Mich. Aquinas is 2-0 against Lourdes inside the Ebeid Rec Center and 3-2 all-time in Sylvania.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes battled 16th-ranked Indiana Tech to the final buzzer and had a shot to tie at the end before falling to the Warriors 79-76 on Wednesday evening inside the Ebeid Rec Center.
Clif Snow led the Gray Wolves with a career-high 31 points while
Kadeim Jones and
Brett Lauf added 10 each. The Gray Wolves fell behind early on Saturday in Grand Rapids, Mich. and fell to ninth-ranked Cornerstone 99-72. Jones had 21 points while Lauf added 10 more for Lourdes in the setback.
Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints have won three straight regular season contests after defeating Northwestern Ohio 95-70 on the road Saturday afternoon. Keith Jordan Jr. leads Siena Heights averaging 14.8 points per game while DeMarco Dickerson is adding 12.4 points per night. Jaquantay Rouser is the team's top rebounder, grabbing 7.4 boards per outing.
Scouting Aquinas: The Saints enter the week having dropped four straight regular season games after falling 77-44 at Madonna last Wednesday. Aquinas hosts Rochester (Mich.) Wednesday before visiting Lourdes. DeShawn Lewis leads Aquinas averaging 14.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season. Rob Deiz adds 10.5 points per night.
Snow Registers Career High: Clif Snow scored a career-high 31 points for Lourdes last Wednesday in the three-point setback to 16th-ranked Indiana Tech. It marked the second straight game in which the sophomore obtained a new career mark, having poured in 28 points just one game earlier against Great Lakes Christian. Snow has scored at least 20 points in a game three times this season, and in double figures in nine of 11 contests. He leads the team, and ranks seventh in the WHAC, in scoring, averaging 16.1 points per game.

Brett Lauf are both scoring in double figures for the Gray Wolves this season in addition to
Clif Snow. Jones has tallied one point fewer than Jones on the year (177-176), and is averaging 16.0 points per night, eighth best in the WHAC. He has seven straight double figure scoring nights and five games having scored 20 or more points. Lauf is averaging 12.6 points per outing in his first season with the Gray Wolves. The sophomore has seven double figure scoring nights to his credit, including a pair of 20-point efforts.
Taking Care of the Basketball: Lourdes has been solid with the basketball of late, having committed 10 or fewer turnovers in four of their last five games. The Gray Wolves committed just nine and eight miscues last week against Indiana Tech and Cornerstone respectively, and have brought their season average down to 13.1.
Connecting from the Line: Lourdes is shooting 80.0% from the free throw line this season, having made 128 of its 160 attempts. The Gray Wolves rank seventh in NAIA Division II from the charity stripe. This year, the Gray Wolves have shot the same or a higher percentage than the opposition in each of the 11 games.
