Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: The final two games of the 2017-2018 season are on the slate this week for Lourdes University, as the Gray Wolves look to snap a seven-game losing skid and finish the season on high note.  Lourdes travels to Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday evening before hosting Rochester (Mich.) Saturday for Senior Day.

Head Coach Josh Gibson: In his second season on the Lourdes bench Josh Gibson has a 17-39 (.304) record with the Gray Wolves.  Overall as a men's collegiate head coach, Gibson has a 78-97 (.446) record in his sixth season.  He is only the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes holds the all-time series lead 9-7 against Northwestern Ohio dating back to Dec. 30, 2010.  The Gray Wolves have won two straight meetings between the two schools after posting a 64-58 triumph inside the Ebeid Rec Center on Jan. 3.  The Racers holds a 5-3 series edge in games played in Lima, Ohio.  Rochester (Mich.) is 4-0 all-time against Lourdes in a series that began Jan. 22, 2011.  The Warriors won the first meeting this season on Dec. 14, 67-61, and are making their first appearance ever in the Ebeid Rec Center.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Madonna jumped out to a 17-point halftime lead and withstood a second half rally by the Gray Wolves in a 75-64 victory on Wednesday.  Clif Snow led Lourdes with 16 points in the home loss.  On Saturday, Lourdes rallied from 10 down with a minute to play, and had three chances to tie or take the lead, but to no avail, falling at Lawrence Tech 70-67.  Malik Thurman paced the Gray Wolves with 17 points.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers have dropped four straight games after suffering an 87-60 setback at fifth-ranked Indiana Tech on Saturday afternoon.  Sadeeq Bello leads Northwestern Ohio averaging 16.1 points per game while Corbin Pierce adds 11.4 points per night.  The Racers are shooting 45.3% from the floor and tallying 76.0 points per game on the season while allowing 76.1 points per outing.

Scouting Rochester (Mich.): The Warriors enter the week having dropped three of their last four games after suffering a narrow 74-72 setback at home against top-ranked Cornerstone on Saturday.  Rochester faces Madonna on Wednesday before heading to Lourdes for the regular season finale.  Justin Nafso lead Rochester averaging 15.1 points per game while Kash Blackwell has added 11.9 points and a team-high 5.4 rebounds per contest.  Armand Cartwright has scored 11.9 points per game as well.  The Warriors are shooting 45.9% from the floor and averaging 74.3 points per game while yielding 70.0 points per night.

Thanks Malik:  Lourdes will honor its lone senior, Malik Thurman, prior to Saturday's contest with Rochester.  Thurman transferred to Lourdes prior to his junior season, and enters the week just eight points shy of 500 in his Gray Wolf career.  His 10.3 points per game this season lead Lourdes, as does his 51.2% shooting from three-point range.

Quite the Freshman Campaign: Clif Snow has made the most of his rookie season with the Gray Wolves, averaging 10.2 points per contest.  Snow has scored just two fewer points (275) than Malik Thurman in the race for the team's scoring title this year.  In addition, Snow leads Lourdes pulling down 6.3 rebounds per contest, has handed out a team-high 63 assists, shares the team lead with 26 steals, and leads the squad shooting 86.7% from the free throw line (65-of-75).  Snow also leads the team averaging 26.9 minutes of action per night.

A Tale of Two Halves: Lourdes has scored 175 more points over the second 20 minutes of games this season than the Gray Wolves have in the first half of contests.  Lourdes is averaging just 29.7 points per first half on the year while upping its production to 36.1 points per second half on the year.  Opponents have similar numbers, scoring just 31.1 first half points before tallying 36.7 points in the second.

Looking for Most Wins Since 2014-2015: Lourdes needs just one victory for the program's most victories since the 2014-2015 campaign.  The Gray Wolves enter the week with 10, matching the 2015-2016 squad, and having already surpassed last year's team, which finished with just seven wins.

Nationally Ranked Defense: Lourdes ranks seventh among all NAIA Division II schools in scoring defense, allowing just 69.0 points per game.  The Gray Wolves have ranked in the top-seven nationally in scoring defense every season except last year dating back to 2011-2012.  Last season the Gray Wolves finished 28th in the country allowing 74.0 points per night.  Lourdes led the country in 2012-2013, surrendering just 51.3 points per game that season.

Among the Nation's Best: Lourdes is 18th in the country registering 8.3 steals per night while the team's 2.52 turnover margin is 22nd best in the country. The Gray Wolves rank 33rd nationally in field goal percentage defense, allowing opponents to shoot 43.4% from the floor this season.  Lourdes is also 42nd nationally in three-point field goal percentage defense at 34.4%.

This and That: Desmond Frazier is one point shy of 400 for his first two seasons with the Gray Wolves ... only Clif Snow, Malik Thurman, Evan Vasquez, and Kadeim Jones have appeared in all 27 games for Lourdes this season ... Lourdes has currently dropped seven straight games, one shy of the longest streak in school history which was earlier this season (Nov. 15-Dec. 14).
