Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Â The Gray Wolves return to the Ebeid Recreation Center on Wednesday evening following a two-game road trip and will host nationally-ranked Siena Heights. Lourdes returns to the road on Saturday afternoon when it travels to Lawrence Tech for one of two final regular season road contests.

Head Coach John Kenger: First-year head coach
John Kenger will guide the Gray Wolf bench this season. Kenger owns a 9-14 (.391) record with the Gray Wolves. Overall as a women's collegiate head coach, Kenger has a 48-68 (.414) record in four seasons. Â He is the fourth head coach in Lourdes program's history.
On the Air: Wednesday's game against Siena Heights will be broadcast live on BCSN as part of Buckeye Broadband. In addition, BCSN will show the game Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday at 3:30 a.m. In addition, BCSN2 will show the game Thursday at 1 a.m. and 5 p.m., Friday at 10 a.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m.
Series Notes: The Gray Wolves are still searching for their first victory over Siena Heights in a series that began on Dec. 3, 2011. Siena Heights defeated the Gray Wolves 73-48 in the first matchup this season in Adrian, Michigan. Lourdes is 0-15 all-time against the Saints. Lourdes is 3-10 all-time against Lawrence Tech after dropping a heartbreaking 58-56 decision to the Blue Devils on January 5, 2019. Lourdes last defeated Lawrence Tech on January 31, 2015 when it downed the Blue Devils 74-70.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes went 1-1 last week after winning convincingly at Wright State-Lake 89-45 before falling 69-37 on the road at 23rd-ranked Michigan-Dearborn. Lourdes has won two of its last three contests entering the week.
Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints enter the week enter the week on a two-game skid after falling to UM-Dearborn and Aquinas last week. Siena Heights currently sits in a tie for fifth place in the WHAC standings with five conference games left on the schedule. Demi Russell currently paces the Saints offensively, averaging 10.9 points per outing. Alyssa Larson and Kiana Votava also average double figures, scoring 10.7 and 10.1 points per game, respectively. Larson and Sharmaine Wills lead the team on the boards, pulling down 6.2 rebounds per contest.Â
Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils enter the week after downing Madonna 121-39. Lawrence Tech will travel to nationally-ranked UM-Dearborn for a pivotal WHAC contest before hosting Lourdes on Saturday. Nicole Buckingham currently leads the team and WHAC, averaging 16.7 points per contest. Buckingham also leads the team, and ranks second in the conference, in rebounds per outing, pulling down 9.5 boards per contest. Defensively, Rachel Price leads the team with 34 blocks, while Buckingham ranks second on the team with 33. The duo also rank second and third in the league in the category.
Race For The WHAC Tournament: Lourdes currently holds a 1.5 game lead over Concordia for the eighth and final spot in the upcoming WHAC Tournament. The Gray Wolves trails UNOH by a game for the seventh seed in the standings. Three of Lourdes' final six WHAC contests feature matchup's against UNOH, Madonna and Concordia, all of which are vying for the final two spots in the league tournament.
Keeping Pace In The WHAC: Despite missing multiple games with an injury,
Christiana Jefferson currently leads the team and is third in the WHAC, handing out 3.84 assists per contest. The senior is on pace to lead the team in assists and assists per contest for the second straight season. Her assist to turnover ratio of 2.52 is also among the top in the league, good for second in the conference. Teammate

Sweeping The Competition: For the first time in the program's eight seasons, Lourdes swept Cornerstone in the regular season series after picking up a 65-55 victory over the Golden Eagles on January 19. Lourdes also swept the regular season series against Wright State-Lake for the second consecutive season on Wednesday after defeating the Lakers 89-45.
Coming to a Close: The Gray Wolves played their final non-conference contest of the season last week when they defeated Wright State-Lake. The Gray Wolves have six games remaining on the regular season schedule, all of which are Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contests. The Gray Wolves are looking to punch their ticket to the WHAC Tournament for the first time in program history.Â
