Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Lourdes begins a three-game road trip on Wednesday evening, heading to Concordia (Mich.) looking to match its longest winning streak in program history.  The Gray Wolves enter the week having won seven straight games, and travel to Aquinas on Saturday afternoon to begin the second half of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action.

Head Coach Josh Gibson: In his third season on the Lourdes bench Josh Gibson has a 30-47 (.390) record.  Overall as a men's collegiate head coach, Gibson has a 91-105 (.464) record in his seventh season.  He is only the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 9-8 all-time advantage over Concordia (Mich.) in a series that began Nov. 2, 2010.  The Cardinals won both meetings last season, defeating the Gray Wolves 81-61 inside the Ebeid Rec Center and 84-64 in Ann Arbor, Mich.  Concordia holds a 5-4 series edge in games played in Ann Arbor.  Aquinas holds an 8-7 advantage over the Gray Wolves in a series that began Nov. 30, 2011.  Lourdes snapped a seven-game losing skid against the Saints earlier this season with a 72-60 victory on Dec. 8 at home inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  Aquinas holds a 5-2 series edge in games played in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes picked up its first road WHAC victory of the season on Wednesday evening, defeating Northwestern Ohio 79-72.  Clif Snow led the Gray Wolves with 25 points and eight rebounds while Kadeim Jones added 20 points.  Brett Lauf tallied 18 points and eight assists in the win.  Saturday afternoon the Gray Wolves shot 56.4% from the floor on the way to an 89-67 victory over Lawrence Tech.  Lauf led five Gray Wolves in double figures with 21 points while Snow added 16 more.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals have dropped six straight games following a 71-69 setback at home against Madonna on Saturday afternoon.  Jalen Thompson leads Concordia averaging 15.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game this season.  Jared McDaniel adds 12.1 points per night as the only other Cardinal averaging in double figures.  Concordia is shooting 44.7% from the floor and averaging 70.3 points per night while allowing 76.9 points per game.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints snapped a two-game losing skid on Saturday afternoon with a 77-72 victory at home against Northwestern Ohio.  Aquinas heads to Lawrence Tech on Wednesday before entertaining Lourdes on Saturday.  DeShawn Lewis leads the Saints averaging 15.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.  As a team the Saints are shooting 41.8% from the floor and tallying 64.9 points per night while allowing 73.1 points per contest.

Looking to Match the School Record Winning Streak: Lourdes enters the game at Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday looking to match the longest winning streak in program history.  The Gray Wolves previously won eight games in a row from Jan. 23-Feb. 13, 2013, in a season in which Lourdes finished 22-10 overall and earned a bid to the NAIA National Championships.

Closing in on a Winning Season: With 13 victories already under its belt, Lourdes needs just three more to assure itself of its first winning season since posting a 17-14 record in the 2014-2015 campaign.  The 13 victories this year are the most for the program since Josh Gibson took over the helm prior to the 2016-2017 season.

A Balanced Offensive Attack: Lourdes spread out its offense against Lawrence Tech, with all five starters finishing in double figures in the scoring column.  Brett Lauf led the way with 21 points, making five three-pointers, while Clif Snow added 16 points.  McRay White was a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor on his way to 13 points while Bryce McComb drained four triples to account for his 12 points.  Kadeim Jones added 11 points for the Gray Wolves.  It was the second time this year five players finished in double figures (Kent State-Tuscarawas on Dec. 17).  It was also the eighth game in which Lourdes had at least four players tally 10 or more points.

Running the Point: Brett Lauf has been solid running the point over the last seven games for the Gray Wolves, handing out 44 assists while committing just 11 turnovers dating back to Dec. 8 against Aquinas, which corresponds to the beginning of Lourdes' current winning streak.  The sophomore guard ranks eighth in NAIA Division II averaging 5.26 assists per game while leading the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.

70 is the Magic Number: Lourdes is 9-0 this season when allowing less than 70 points defensively.  The Gray Wolves rank 21st nationally in scoring defense, allowing 71.9 points per game on the year.

Dialing Long Distance: Lourdes has four players shooting 40% or better from three-point range, led by Brett Lauf's 42.9% clip.  Clif Snow has made a team-high 43 triples, and is shooting 42.6% from long range while Desmond Frazier is connecting at 41.7%.  Kadeim Jones is shooting 40.0% from beyond the arc.

Connecting from the Line: Lourdes is shooting 77.2% from the free throw line this season, a mark that ranks 11th in NAIA Division II.  This year, the Gray Wolves shot the same or a higher percentage than the opposition in each of the first 16 games before Akron Wayne ended the streak on Dec. 29.  The Gray Wolves have made a significant improvement from last year's 65.9% clip from the stripe, which ranked 133rd nationally, and in 2016-2017, Lourdes finished second to last in the NAIA shooting just 64.5%.

This and That: Lourdes is 11-0 on the season when leading at halftime ... McRay White matched his career high with 13 points against Lawrence Tech ... Kadeim Jones has scored in double figures in 15 consecutive games, and 17 of 19 on the year ... Brett Lauf has handed out exactly 100 assists this season.
