Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Having won back-to-back games, Lourdes faces its fourth nationally-ranked team during this young season on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves host Madonna.  Lourdes then returns to the road on Saturday for an afternoon tilt at Aquinas.

On the Air: Wednesday's game against Madonna will be broadcast live on BCSN as part of Buckeye Broadband.  The game will also re-air on Thursday at 4 p.m., Friday at 9 a.m., and Saturday at 11:30 p.m. In addition, BCSN2 will show the game Thursday at 4 p.m. and Friday at 2 p.m.

Head Coach Dennis Hopson: In his first season on the Lourdes bench, Dennis Hopson is 3-2 (.600) with the Gray Wolves and as a men's collegiate head coach.  He is only the third head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Madonna holds a 12-8 series advantage over Lourdes dating back to Nov. 6, 2010.  The Crusaders have won the last four meetings after sweeping last year's games 86-68 in Livonia, Mich. and 100-86 in the Ebeid Rec Center.  Madonna is 3-0 against the Gray Wolves in the Ebeid Rec Center and 6-3 all-time in Sylvania.  Lourdes and Aquinas have split 16 previous meetings 8-8 dating back to Nov. 30, 2011.  Last year, the Gray Wolves were 72-60 victors at home and 69-66 winners in overtime in Grand Rapids, Mich.  The Saints hold a 5-3 series edge all-time in Grand Rapids.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes had five players tally double figures on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves downed Wright State-Lake 114-56.  Julian Egbo recorded 23 points and had 13 rebounds while Christian Wagenhauser added 13 points and Nick Welch pulled down 12 rebounds.  On Saturday, Lourdes opened WHAC play with a 65-64 victory at 23rd-ranked Indiana Tech.  Clif Snow made a free throw with two seconds left to give the Gray Wolves the win while leading Lourdes with 28 points and seven rebounds.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders have won five straight games after defeating Aquinas on the road 73-59 on Saturday afternoon.  Dwight Burton leads Madonna averaging 26.1 points per game while shooting 57.9% from the field.  Henry Speight adds 17.1 points and 9.0 rebounds per night while Joshua Reynolds has contributed 16.6 points per outing.  Mark Mettie has tallied 14.8 points per game for the Crusaders.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints enter the week having dropped back-to-back games after falling 73-59 to Madonna on Saturday.  Aquinas heads to Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday before hosting Lourdes.  DeShawn Lewis paces the Aquinas offense averaging 11.7 points per game while Deric Murray has added 10.7 points per night.  Davion Benton is the team's rebounding leader, pulling down 5.6 boards per outing.

A Ranked Win: Lourdes are in the midst of a stretch in which the Gray Wolves are playing NAIA Division II top-25 opponents in five of seven games.  Lourdes snapped a 27-game losing streak to such foes on Saturday with the victory over Indiana Tech, the Gray Wolves' ninth all-time win against a top-25 team.  Lourdes is now 9-50 all-time against nationally-ranked opponents.

Snow Earns WHAC Honor: Clif Snow was named the WHAC Player of the Week for the second time in his career after averaging 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in the wins over Wright State-Lake and Indiana Tech.  The junior shot 46.7% from the floor, including 6-of-14 (42.9%) from three-point range.  Snow made the game-winning free throw with two seconds remaining in the upset win over No. 23 Indiana Tech.

Record-Setting Effort: Lourdes set a new program record for points in a game after scoring 114 points in the victory over Wright State-Lake last Wednesday.  The Gray Wolves' previous high was 106 points scored in a 111-106 triple-overtime loss at Northwestern Ohio on Feb. 14, 2018.  In fact, the 114 points is the most scored in any game Lourdes has been involved in, either for or against.

Nearing 1,000: Clif Snow enters this week needing just 36 points to reach 1,000 for his career.  The junior guard has averaged 14.8 points per game during his Lourdes career, and enters Wednesday with 964 points in 65 games.  Zach Steinmetz (2013-2016) is the only other Gray Wolf ever to reach the 1,000-point plateau.

Egbo Doubles Up: Julian Egbo recorded his second double-double of the season last Wednesday with 23 points and 13 rebounds against Wright State-Lake.  The redshirt-junior had already reached the double-double by halftime, tallying 19 points and 12 boards in the opening 20 minutes.

Taking Care of the Basketball: Through three games this season, Little Anderson has handed out eighth assists for the Gray Wolves while committing just one turnover.  His assist-to-turnover ratio currently ranks fourth among all NAIA Division II players.  As a team, Lourdes has a 1.415 assist-to-turnover ratio, ranking 15 nationally.

Team Captains: Lourdes will have four captains for the upcoming season.  Bryce McComb, Clif Snow, and Brett Lauf join newcomer Nick Welch, a transfer from Spring Arbor, in leading the Gray Wolves.

This and That: The Gray Wolves had just four turnovers in the win at Indiana Tech ... Lourdes is 21st in NAIA Division II shooting 39.4% from three-point range ... Nick Welch pulled down 12 rebounds against Wright State-Lake.
