Head Coach Alyssa Shaver: In her second season on the Lourdes bench, Alyssa Shaver has an 10-7 (.588) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves and as well as a collegiate head coach.  She is just the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Walsh holds a 2-1 series advantage against the Gray Wolves dating back to  March 21, 2014.  The Cavaliers won last year's meeting 19-4 in North Canton, Ohio, with Lourdes lone triumph in the series occurring in 2015.  This will be Walsh's first visit to Wildcat Stadium.  Marian won the only previous meeting against Lourdes, a 14-13 victory, on Feb. 25, 2018 in Indianapolis, Ind.  This will mark the Knights' first trip to Sylvania.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes opened the season on Saturday with a 16-8 neutral site victory over Missouri Valley.  Tiara Reed scored four times and Bella D'Arcy added three goals for the Gray Wolves.  Jacque Pappadakes made nine saves in goal for the win.  The Gray Wolves defeated Lindenwood-Belleville 14-3 on the road Sunday afternoon.  Reed found the back of the cage seven times while D'Arcy added three more goals.  Pappadakes made nine saves in net.

Scouting Walsh: The Cavaliers open their season at Lourdes after posting an 11-7 mark in 2018.  Walsh returns 18 players that saw action one year ago.  Jenny Spragg is the team's top returning scorer after tallying 34 goals and 14 assists for 48 total points.  Becky Parker scored 24 goals and had 31 points last year for the Cavaliers.  In goal, Mikaela Faus saw a majority of the action, sporting an 8.58 goals against average and a .547 save percentage.

Scouting Marian: The Knights finished the 2018 campaign with a 9-5 record playing as an independent, and make their 2019 season debut against the Gray Wolves.  Marian returns 12 players from last year's squad, including their top two scorers.  Kori Garland had 45 goals and 11 assists for 56 total points while Julia Robson added 41 goals and 12 helpers for 53 points.  In goal, Casey Monahan played the majority of the minutes for the Knights, registering an 11.94 goals against average and a .471 save percentage.

Reed Nearing and Surpassing 100: Tiara Reed has scored 11 times already this season, giving her 91 for her career just two games into her junior season.  Her tally total thus far this year is the most of any NAIA player.  While Reed is nearing 100 career goals, she surpassed the 100-point mark over the weekend, and now has 104.  With her three assists, giving her 14 for her career, Reed now ranks second in all three career categories.

Solid in Goal as a Rookie: Jacque Pappadakes made the most of her first two collegiate starts in goal.  The freshman netminder made 18 total saves, posting a .621 save percentage for the Gray Wolves, while yielding just 11 goals, for a 5.50 goals against average.
