Series Notes: Taylor won the only previous meeting between the two schools, 86-40, on Nov. 12, 2019 in Upland, Ind.  This will mark the Trojans' first trip to Sylvania.  Northwestern Ohio holds a 12-6 series edge against the Gray Wolves in a series that began Jan. 18, 2012.  Lourdes has won the last three meetings against the Racers including a sweep of last season's contests.  The Gray Wolves were a 67-51 victor inside the Ebeid Rec Center and a 58-51 winner in Lima, Ohio.  Lourdes is 3-1 against Northwestern Ohio inside the Ebeid Rec Center.

Wrapping Up Last Time Out: With the game tied at 39 at halftime, Ohio Christian outscored the Gray Wolves by seven in the third period on the way to a 74-69 victory over Lourdes on Nov. 3, 2020 in Circleville, Ohio.  Gabby Stover came off the bench to score 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Krisah Lewis added 10 points.  The Trailblazers had three players tally 20 points in the victory.

Lourdes Tabbed 8th in WHAC Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in seventh place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  Lourdes was picked just behind Rochester (Mich.) and just ahead of Northwestern Ohio in the balloting.  Indiana Tech was picked as the preseason favorite.

Try Two of WHAC Play: Due to COVID-19, the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has pushed the start of league play into January.  The conference produced a new schedule, with each team scheduled to play 13 games for the 2020-2021 league slate.  Michigan-Dearborn is not playing basketball this year.  League play is slated to begin January 27, but Lourdes, Northwestern Ohio, and Indiana Tech have pushed games up and will begin this week.

More Changes in NAIA: This year the NAIA has combined Division I and Division II into just one division for basketball.  A total of 64 schools will qualify for the NAIA National Championships with 16 teams hosting four-team regionals.  The final 16 teams will then advance to Sioux City, Iowa.
