Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: After opening the season on the road, Lourdes begins the home portion of the 2021-2022 season this week.  The Gray Wolves host three games, beginning on Tuesday against Spring Arbor.  Carlow will visit the Ebeid Rec Center on Saturday before Miami-Middletown arrives on Homecoming Saturday on campus.

Head Coach Tandy Bradford: In her first season on the Lourdes bench, Tandy Bradford sports an 0-2 (.000) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In her fourth season overall as a collegiate head coach, Bradford has a 21-61 (.256) career mark.  She is the fifth head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Spring Arbor has won all four previous meetings between the two schools in a series that began Nov. 8, 2011.  The Cougars won the last contest between the two schools 72-61 in Spring Arbor, Mich. on Dec. 16, 2019.  Spring Arbor has never played in the Ebeid Rec Center, with Lourdes' lone home game in the series coming at Tam-o-Shanter in the initial meeting.  Lourdes is 2-1 all-time against Carlow in a series that began Nov. 6, 2015.  The Gray Wolves have won the last two meetings, including a 71-65 victory on Oct. 27, 2020 in the Ebeid Rec Center.  Lourdes is 2-0 all-time against the Celtics at home.  The Gray Wolves won the only previous meeting against Miami-Middletown, 91-73, on Dec. 3, 2017.  That lone meeting took place on a neutral court in Orrville, Ohio.

Wrapping Up Last Week: The Gray Wolves wrapped up their season-opening road trip on Wednesday with a 94-70 setback at Indiana-South Bend.  Gabby Stover scored 20 points while Logan Ingram added 13 points and seven rebounds.  Alex Wolfe added 10 points off the bench.  Lourdes shot just 31.1% from the floor and committed 31 turnovers while the Titans connected at a 53.5% clip to offset 25 miscues.

Scouting Spring Arbor: The Cougars opened their season on Thursday evening with a 70-37 loss at Concordia (Mich.).  Cierra Lipps and Grace Shoobridge led Spring Arbor with eight points each while Shoobridge also brought down a team-high six rebounds.  The Cougars shot 28.3% from the floor and were just 1-of-20 from three-point range.

Scouting Carlow: The Celtics open their season on Wednesday evening against Penn State-New Kensington before visiting Lourdes.  Carlow went 2-10 in 2020-2021.  Megan Ost, the team's leading scorer at 18.0 points per game last year, returns for the Celtics this season.

Scouting Miami-Middletown: The ThunderHawks are opening their 2021-2022 season against the Gray Wolves on Saturday.

Home Sweet Home: Lourdes is 7-3 all-time in its first home game of the season.  The Gray Wolves downed Carlow 71-65 to begin last year's home campaign and has won four straight home openers overall.  All-time, Lourdes enters this season with a 22-43 record inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.

Stover Off to Solid Start: Gabby Stover has begun the season with back-to-back double figure scoring games.  The sophomore tallied 11 points as part of a double-double while grabbing 10 rebounds at Georgetown (Ky.) before pouring in 20 points at Indiana-South Bend, one off her career high.  This marks just the second time in her career she has had back-to-back double figure scoring games.

Crashing the Boards: Lourdes outrebounded Indiana-South Bend 41-39, largely due to the Gray Wolves ability to get to the offensive glass.  Lourdes pulled down 13 offensive caroms, which led to 20 second chance points in the game.

First Career Starts: Mercedes Wagner and Shallyn Miley both made their first collegiate starts with the Gray Wolves at Indiana-South Bend.   Wagner tallied eight points and shared the team lead with six rebounds while Miley added three points and five boards.

Wolfe Tallied Double Figures: After scoring four points in her collegiate debut against Georgetown (Ky.), Alex Wolfe tallied 10 at Indiana-South Bend for her first career double figure scoring game.  She went 4-for-5 from the free throw line as part of her effort.

Forcing Turnovers: Lourdes forced 25 Indiana-South Bend turnovers on Wednesday which led to 17 points.  The Gray Wolves were able to pressure Georgetown (Ky.) into 17 miscues in the season opener as well.

Lourdes Tabbed 10th in WHAC Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in 10th place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  Lourdes was picked just behind Northwestern Ohio and just ahead of Madonna in the balloting.  Indiana Tech was picked as the preseason favorite.

This and That: Lourdes is 80-207 all-time in the program's 11th season ... the Gray Wolves are 4-3 all-time in overtime contests ... Shae Pedroza has started all 21 games during her career ... Gabby Stover is grabbing a team-leading eight rebounds per game ... Stover and Shae Pedroza have each handed out five assists this year.
