Series Notes: Northwestern Ohio holds a 14-6 all-time advantage against Lourdes in a series that began Jan. 18, 2012.  The Racers won the first meeting of the season in the Ebeid Rec Center against the Gray Wolves 56-49 on Nov. 23.  Northwestern Ohio holds a 6-4 advantage all-time in Lima, Ohio.  Madonna is 13-7 all-time against Lourdes in a series that began Jan. 11, 2012.  The Crusaders snapped the Gray Wolves' six-game winning streak in the series back on Nov. 20 with a 69-68 victory over Lourdes in Livonia, Mich.  The Gray Wolves are 4-0 all-time against Madonna in the Ebeid Rec Center.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes trailed Aquinas by just two entering the final period last Wednesday (Jan. 19) before the Saints outscored the Gray Wolves 24-10 in the fourth to earn a 70-54 victory.  Logan Ingram led Lourdes with 14 points while Mercedes Wagner added 12 more.  On Saturday (Jan. 22), Lawrence Tech forced 28 Gray Wolf turnovers on the way to a 56-42 victory over Lourdes.  Wagner paced Lourdes with 13 points while Shae Pedroza added 11 points.  Monday evening (Jan. 24), Lourdes rallied from a 19-point second quarter deficit to close to within three in the final minutes before falling to Rochester (Mich.) 77-69.  Pedroza had 16 points while Wagner added 15 more for the Gray Wolves.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers have dropped four consecutive games after falling 57-35 at Wilberforce last Tuesday (Jan. 18).  Jada Haines leads Northwestern Ohio averaging 8.9 points per game while Kalea Kruser adds 7.7 points per night.  Kruser is also the Racers top rebounder, grabbing 4.9 boards per contest.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders have lost four straight games after suffering a 67-49 setback at Indiana Tech on Monday (Jan. 24).  Megan Aho leads Madonna scoring 15.5 points per game while pulling down a team-high 8.1 boards per night.  April Hudelson adds 12.1 points per outing while Sharon Woodard is also scoring in double figures, tallying 11.8 points per game.

More Double Figure Efforts from Wagner:  Mercedes Wagner has scored in double figures in nine consecutive games.  Wagner has tallied 10 or more points in 15 of her 22 games this year.  She has three double-doubles this year as well while leading the Gray Wolves scoring 12.5 points per night.

Crashing the Boards: Mercedes Wagner and Shallyn Miley have both come up big on the glass for the Gray Wolves this season.  They both are averaging 7.1 boards per contest to pace Lourdes in rebounding.  Miley leads the way on the offensive glass with 2.9 offensive caroms per game.  Wagner has five double figure rebounding games this season while Miley has three, including a career-high 15 boards last Saturday against Lawrence Tech.

A Good Shooting Week: Shae Pedroza has tallied double figures in each of her last three games, shooting better than 50% from the floor in all three contests.  The sophomore guard connected on 4-of-6 three-point attempts on Monday against Rochester (Mich.) on her way to 16 points.

Fitting Right In: After playing just three games total in her career over her first two-and-a-half seasons with the Gray Wolves due to injuries, Nadeen Jemaa has made an immediate impact into the lineup since her return on Jan. 8.  She has started four contests and is averaging 27.8 minutes per game while scoring 5.7 points per outing.  She has already made 10 three-pointers in the six games.

Ingram Heating Up: Logan Ingram has scored in double figures in six of her last eight games, including three straight, to increase her season scoring average to 9.9 points per contest.  Ingram leads Lourdes with 39 three-point field goals in 18 games this season.

A Historic Victory: Lourdes snapped a 50-game losing skid against NAIA top-25 opponents on New Year's Day with its victory at 24th-ranked Mount Vernon Nazarene.  The win was just the second all-time against ranked foes, improving to 2-51 all-time.  Lourdes only other victory against a ranked team came on Nov. 5, 2011 at 18th-ranked Indiana-Northwest.

Record-Setting Effort: Lourdes shattered its school record by scoring 132 points in the victory over Miami-Middletown on Nov. 6.  The previous mark was 107 points scored at Northwestern Ohio on Feb. 14, 2018.  The 58-point margin of victory, 132-74, also broke the previous mark of 54 set on Nov. 6, 2018 against Wright State-Lake, 101-47, and matched last season at Akron Wayne in an 81-27 victory.

This and That: Mercedes Wagner has 20 blocked shots in 22 games while also leading the team with 48 steals ... the Gray Wolves are limiting opponents to just 28.8% shooting from three-point range this year ... Lourdes is in the midst of a stretch in which the Gray Wolves play eight of nine games at home.
