Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Lourdes takes to the road this week to begin a three-game road trip and will play seven of its next nine contests away from the Ebeid Rec Center. The Gray Wolves head to undefeated Siena Heights on Wednesday evening before battling Cornerstone on Saturday afternoon.
Head Coach Tandy Bradford: In her second season on the Lourdes bench,
Tandy Bradford sports a 13-22 (.371) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. In her fifth season overall as a collegiate head coach, Bradford has a 34-81 (.296) career mark. She is the fifth head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Siena Heights has won all 22 previous meetings against the Gray Wolves in a series that began Dec. 3, 2011. Last season the Saints swept the season series with a 54-41 victory in the Ebeid Rec Center before defeating Lourdes 79-42 in Adrian, Mich. Siena Heights is 11-0 against the Gray Wolves in Adrian. Cornerstone holds a 16-5 series edge against Lourdes dating back to Dec. 10, 2011. The Golden Eagles have won three straight in the series after sweeping last year's meetings. Cornerstone was a 72-64 winner in the Ebeid Rec Center before posting a 77-64 triumph in Grand Rapids, Mich. The Golden Eagles hold a 9-2 advantage all-time in Grand Rapids.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes opened WHAC play on Wednesday evening suffering a 64-50 setback at Concordia (Mich.).

Shae Pedroza added 13 more. The Gray Wolves bounced back on Saturday afternoon with a 91-86 triumph over Michigan-Dearborn.
Mercedes Wagner and
Grace Ryan each scored 19 points off the bench to pace four Lourdes players in double figures.
Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints are undefeated to start the season after defeating Aquinas 83-45 on the road Saturday. Siena Heights will play its home opener on Wednesday against Lourdes. Sha'kyia Parker leads the Saints averaging 19.8 points per game while Peyton Banks adds 16.0 points and a team-high 7.8 rebounds per contest. Kayla Hinton has added 13.5 points per outing for Siena Heights.
Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles enter the week having won two straight after defeating Northwestern Ohio 77-68 on the road Saturday. Cornerstone hosts Madonna on Wednesday prior to entertaining Lourdes. Stephanie Ainsworth leads the Golden Eagles averaging 12.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest. Olivia Kubik has added 10.2 points per outing thus far this year.
Time Change: Saturday's game time at Cornerstone has been pushed back to a 4 p.m. tip to accommodate the Golden Eagles hosting an opening round match in the NAIA National Championships.
Ryan Shines Off the Bench: Grace Ryan had played in just one game, for four total minutes, prior to her appearance on Saturday against Michigan-Dearborn. The freshman shared game high honors against the Wolverines scoring 19 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor and going 9-of-12 from the free throw line. She also grabbed six rebounds, second most on the team, in just 16 minutes of action.
Wagner Produces Against the Wolverines: Mercedes Wagner also came off the bench to score 19 points against Michigan-Dearborn after tallying just 14 total in her first four appearances of the year. She made 9-of-14 shots from the floor and pulled down four boards in 21 minutes of play.
Putting Up the Points: The 91 points the Gray Wolves scored on Saturday against Michigan-Dearborn marked the team's highest total since scoring a school-record 132 against Miami-Middletown on Nov. 6, 2021. It is also the team's second highest total since Nov. 6, 2018 when Lourdes scored 101 against Wright State-Lake.
Making Free Throws: Shae Pedroza is making the most of her trips to the free throw line this season. The junior guard has been to the stripe 16 times, connecting on 15 to shoot 93.8% this season. Her free throw shooting has helped Pedroza lead the team in scoring as well, tallying 10.6 points per contest.
Taking Care of the Basketball: Nadeen Jemaa has taken care of the basketball while running the offense for the Gray Wolves this season. The redshirt-junior has handed out 15 assists while committing just six turnovers.
Lots of Action: The Gray Wolves have used lots of different combinations on the court thus far this season. Lourdes has 11 players averaging 10 or more minutes of action through the first five games this season, with 13 Gray Wolves averaging at least 7.8 minutes per contest.

Lourdes Tabbed Seventh in WHAC Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in seventh place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches. Lourdes was picked just behind Concordia (Mich.) and just ahead of Madonna in the balloting. Indiana Tech was tabbed as the preseason favorite.
This and That: Shae Pedroza reached 500 career points on Saturday with her 13-point effort against Michigan-Dearborn ... Lourdes bench outscored the Wolverines reserves 54-32 on Saturday ... the Gray Wolves are shooting just 25.7% from three-point range ... Lourdes is +3.4 in turnover margin and are 3-0 this season when committing fewer miscues than their opponents.
