Series Notes: Lourdes holds an 11-10 all-time series edge against Aquinas dating back to Nov. 30, 2011.  The two schools split last season's meetings with both defending their own home court.  The Saints were 90-87 victors in Grand Rapids, Mich. while Lourdes posted a 76-61 win in the Ebeid Rec Center.  The Gray Wolves hold a 3-2 edge all-time in the Ebeid Rec Center.  Lourdes is 13-7 all-time against Lawrence Tech in a series that began Nov. 3, 2012.  Each team won on its home court last season with the Blue Devils notching an 81-75 win in Southfield, Mich. while Lourdes was a 68-41 winner in the Ebeid Rec Center.  The Gray Wolves are 5-1 all-time against Lawrence Tech in the Ebeid Rec Center.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes held a seven-point lead with under five minutes to play on Tuesday (Nov. 22) at Northwestern Ohio but the Racers scored the game's final eight points to earn a 59-58 victory.  Jackie Harris led the Gray Wolves with 18 points while Joey Holifield added 16 more.  On Saturday, the Gray Wolves opened the St. Francis (Ill.) Thanksgiving Classic defeating the hosts 80-73.  Holifield tallied 21 points while Harris added 19 more.  Lourdes closed out the event on Sunday with a 115-65 win over East-West.  Six players finished in double figures, led by Harris who scored 22 points.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints have dropped two straight games after falling 75-66 at Indiana Tech last Tuesday (Nov. 22).  Gabe Overway leads Aquinas in scoring, averaging 13.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.  Menalito McGee adds 11.5 points per contest while Donovan Brown-Boyd is scoring 11.1 points per night.

Wednesday before heading to Lourdes.  Andrew Rinn leads the Blue Devils scoring 19.4 points and grabbing 7.6 rebounds per game.  Nathaniel Ward (10.9 ppg) and Gunnar Gustafson (10.8 ppg) are both averaging in double figures as well.

Schedule Updates: Lourdes will make up its Nov. 19 postponement at Cornerstone on Dec. 15 with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m. in Grand Rapids, Mich.  The Gray Wolves' game that was slated for New Year's Eve against Windsor has been moved to Jan. 3 with a 1 p.m. tip time.  In addition, the postponed contest against Cornerstone will be made up at a date yet to be determined.

Harris an All-Around Leader: Jackie Harris has led Lourdes in both scoring and rebounding this season.  He has tallied 17.5 points per game, and has scored in double figures in all eight contests this season and 17 straight games dating back to last year.  Harris is also pulling down 7.3 rebounds per outing, and has a pair of double-doubles this season.

Making Free Throws: Joey Holifield has led Lourdes at the free throw line this season, shooting 85.3% (29-of-34).  He was a perfect 11-for-11 in the win over St. Francis (Ill.) on Saturday and went 15-of-15 overall on the weekend.

Anderson Nearing 1,000 Career Points: Little Anderson enters the week with 931 career points, needing just 69 more to reach 1,000 for his career at Lourdes.  The senior has averaged 10.8 points per game during his four years with the Gray Wolves.

Taking Care of the Basketball: Lourdes has handed out more assists than then number of turnovers they have committed this year.  The Gray Wolves have 107 assists, led by Brett Lauf who has 23, while committing just 97 turnovers (12.1 per game).

Lighting Up the Scoreboard: Lourdes tallied a season-high 115 points in the win over East-West on Sunday, the fifth time since the start of the 2021-2022 season the Gray Wolves have surpassed the century mark.  Lourdes has scored 115 or more points four times in their last 40 games.  The 115 points was the most since the Gray Wolves tallied 117 in the win at Penn State-Shenango on Dec. 20, 2021.

Career Highs: Jordique Vincent and Sterling Hopkins both tallied a career-high 13 points on Sunday against East-West.  Vincent's previous high came one day earlier with 10 points at St. Francis (Ill.) while Hopkins scored in double figures for the first time in his collegiate career.

Lourdes Tabbed Third in Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in third place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  Lourdes was picked just ahead of Cornerstone and just behind Madonna in the league balloting.  Indiana Tech is the favorite to win the WHAC in 2022-2023.

This and That: Clif Snow is 28 rebounds shy of 800 in his career at Lourdes ... the Gray Wolves are outrebounding opponents by 5.5 boards per game and grabbing 11.5 offensive rebounds per game ... Lourdes has not played an overtime game since Feb. 5, 2020 against Michigan-Dearborn (lost 86-78).
