Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: After two weeks off, Lourdes returns to the hardwood on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves travel to Concordia (Mich.).  Lourdes will then celebrate Senior Day on Saturday against Michigan-Dearborn before closing out the home portion of the 2021-2022 regular season on Monday in a make-up game against Indiana Tech.

Head Coach Dennis Hopson: In his second season on the Lourdes bench, Dennis Hopson is 47-22 (.681) with the Gray Wolves and as a men's collegiate head coach.  He is only the third head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes is 15-9 against Concordia (Mich.) in a series that dates back to Nov. 2, 2010.  The Gray Wolves have won six straight in the series after downing the Cardinals 89-72 inside the Ebeid Rec Center on Jan. 12.  The series is tied 6-6 in Ann Arbor, Mich.  Lourdes holds a 12-7 series edge against Michigan-Dearborn going back to Jan. 14, 2012.  The Gray Wolves defeated the Wolverines on the road 76-53 earlier this year on Jan. 8.  Lourdes is 3-1 all-time against the Wolverines in the Ebeid Rec Center.  Indiana Tech leads the all-time series against Lourdes 14-10 dating back to Oct. 30, 2010.  The Gray Wolves have won four of the last five meetings between the two schools after downing the Warriors 74-65 on Nov. 17 in Fort Wayne, Ind.  Indiana Tech holds a 3-2 series edge against the Gray Wolves all-time inside the Ebeid Rec Center.

Wrapping Up Two Weeks Ago: On Jan. 24, Joey Holifield scored a lay-in with less than 10 seconds to play to give Lourdes a 65-64 victory at Rochester (Mich.).  Little Anderson scored 17 points while Holifield added 15 more in the victory.  Northwestern Ohio snapped the Gray Wolves' 13-game win streak with a 70-64 victory over Lourdes in Lima, Ohio on Jan. 26.  Holifield paced the Gray Wolves with 19 points while Anderson and McRay White scored 17 points each.  An 18-game home court win streak came to an end on Jan. 29 as Madonna defeated Lourdes 79-69.  White poured in 33 points and had 13 boards while Holifield added 19 points in the loss.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.): Concordia has dropped three straight games after falling 73-62 against Aquinas on Saturday (Feb. 5).  The Cardinals travel to Siena Heights on Monday before hosting to Lourdes.  Colton Ritsema leads Concordia averaging 10.7 points per game while Matt Lockart adds 10.4 points per night.  Devyn Jones is pulling down a team-high 7.0 rebounds per night.

Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines enter the week having dropped 13 straight games after falling 88-72 at Siena Heights on Saturday (Feb. 5).  Michigan-Dearborn heads to Cornerstone on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Elwood Tomlinson leads Michigan-Dearborn averaging 17.5 points per game while Maurice Anderson adds 12.0 points per night.

Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors have won eight consecutive games following a 76-62 triumph over Northwestern Ohio on Saturday (Feb. 5).  Indiana Tech hosts Siena Heights and travels to Madonna before meeting Lourdes.  Grant Smith leads Indiana Tech in scoring, averaging 14.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.  Rog Stein adds 12.7 points per night while Josh Kline has tallied 11.6 points per outing.

Thanks Seniors: Lourdes will honor Anthony Mills, Charles Swain, and Brett Lauf on Saturday prior to tip-off against Michigan-Dearborn.  Nick Welch and McRay White both celebrated Senior Day last season with the Gray Wolves.

White Has Huge Afternoon: McRay White was nearly perfect on Saturday afternoon in the setback to Madonna.  The fifth-year senior scored a career-high 33 points, making 15-of-19 shots from the floor.  He also went 3-of-4 from the free throw line.  In addition, White pulled down 13 rebounds, including six on the offensive end, for his sixth double-double of the season.

Double Figures are the Norm: Joey Holifield has posted double figures in 22 of the Gray Wolves' 23 games this season, including the last five contests.  The team's leading scorer at 15.9 points per game, the only time Holifield failed to reach 10 points in a game was against Rochester (Mich.) on Jan. 15 when he tallied eight points.

Nearing 20 Wins: Lourdes needs just two more victories to reach the 20-win plateau for the third time in program history.  The Gray Wolves last won 20 games in 2019-2020, the first season under Coach Dennis Hopson.  The school record for victories is 22, set in the 2012-2013 season.

Rewrite the Record Books: Lourdes set a new school record earlier this season with 116 points against East-West in the season opener on Oct. 26 but re-broke the mark on Dec. 20 with 117 points at Penn State-Shenango.  In fact, the top three scoring games in program history have all happened this season as the Gray Wolves also tallied 115 points at Wilberforce on Nov. 13.  The previous record prior to this season was 114 points against Wright State-Lake in 2019.

Record-Breaking Streak: Lourdes set a new school record with its 13-game winning streak from Dec. 4 through Jan. 24.  The Gray Wolves surpassed the old mark, an 11-game winning streak which took place from Nov. 23, 2019-Jan. 8, 2020.

This and That: Lourdes ranks 13th in NAIA shooting 49.6% from the field ... the Gray Wolves are 15th nationally averaging 84.0 points per game ... McRay White has surpassed 900 points in his career, entering the week with 901 .. Lourdes is 49-26 all-time inside the Ebeid Rec Center.
