Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: The penultimate week of the 2021-2022 basketball season has arrived for the Gray Wolves.  After playing eight of its last nine games at home, Lourdes takes to the road on Wednesday evening for a game at Concordia (Mich.).  This season's home slate then comes to a close on Saturday afternoon as Michigan-Dearborn visits the Ebeid Rec Center.

Head Coach Tandy Bradford: In her first season on the Lourdes bench, Tandy Bradford sports an 10-16 (.385) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In her fourth season overall as a collegiate head coach, Bradford has a 31-75 (.292) career mark.  She is the fifth head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Concordia (Mich.) holds a 20-2 all-time series edge against Lourdes dating back to Oct. 27, 2011.  The Cardinals have won seven straight games against the Gray Wolves, including a 69-57 win over Lourdes earlier this season in the Ebeid Rec Center on Jan. 12.  Concordia is 10-1 against Lourdes in Ann Arbor, Mich.  Michigan-Dearborn holds an 11-8 all-time edge against the Gray Wolves dating back to Jan. 14, 2012.  Lourdes snapped a five-game losing skid against the Wolverines earlier this year on Jan. 8, 64-63, in a game played in Livonia, Mich.  Michigan-Dearborn is 3-1 against Lourdes inside the Ebeid Rec Center.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes closed out non-conference action on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 5) with a 79-52 victory over Grace Christian.  Shae Pedroza scored a game-high 18 points while Mercedes Wagner and Shallyn Miley both registered double-doubles.  Wagner had 16 points and 10 rebounds while Miley scored 11 points and grabbed 10 boards.  On Monday, the Gray Wolves fell 63-48 to 17th-ranked Indiana Tech.  Alex Wolfe came off the bench to score 11 points as the only Lourdes player to tally double figures.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals had their six-game winning streak snapped on Monday (Feb. 7), falling 76-57 at Siena Heights.  Alize Tripp is the only Concordia player averaging in double figures, scoring 14.0 points per game.  Asaria Turman comes off the bench to add 8.7 points per night while Taylor Leatherman leads the Cardinals on the glass, grabbing 5.1 rebounds per night.

Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines have won three straight games after downing Siena Heights 69-57 on the road Saturday afternoon (Feb. 5).  Michigan-Dearborn heads to Cornerstone on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Mariah Taylor leads Michigan-Dearborn averaging 11.5 points per game while Ro'Zhane Wells adds 10.3 points per night.  Cydney Williams is the Wolverines' top rebounder, grabbing 7.0 caroms per contest.

Wolfe on the Prowl:  Alex Wolfe has had her best offensive stretch as a collegian over the past three games for the Gray Wolves.  The freshman scored a career-high 15 points on Saturday against Grace Christian before pacing the Lourdes offense with 11 points versus Indiana Tech.  Wolfe had nine points at Northwestern Ohio to begin the stretch.  This season, Wolfe, who is averaging 6.5 points per game, has scored in double figures seven times.

Dialing Long Distance: Shae Pedroza and Nadeen Jemaa have both had a great deal of success from three-point range this season.  Pedroza, who is tied for the team lead with 41 triples, has connected at a 39.0% clip this season while Jemaa leads the squad in threes per game at 2.0 and is shooting at a 38.5% rate.

Running the Offense: Both Shae Pedroza and Logan Ingram have nearly a 1:1 assist-to-turnover ratio for the Gray Wolves this season.  Pedroza has handed out a team-high 58 assists against 65 turnovers while Ingram has dished out 50 helpers against 52 miscues.

Filling the Stat Sheet: Mercedes Wagner leads the Gray Wolves in numerous statistical categories this season.  The sophomore transfer is the team's leading scorer at 12.5 points per game while shooting 44.7% from the floor.  Wagner is second on the squad in rebounding at 6.9 boards per contest while leading Lourdes with 58 steals and 25 blocked shots.

Looking to Match (and Better) the School Mark: With Lourdes next victory, the Gray Wolves will match the school record for wins in a season.  The current record of 11 victories came in both the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons.

A Historic Victory: Lourdes snapped a 50-game losing skid against NAIA top-25 opponents on New Year's Day with its victory at 24th-ranked Mount Vernon Nazarene.  The win was just the second all-time against ranked foes, improving to 2-51 all-time.  Lourdes only other victory against a ranked team came on Nov. 5, 2011 at 18th-ranked Indiana-Northwest.

Record-Setting Effort: Lourdes shattered its school record by scoring 132 points in the victory over Miami-Middletown on Nov. 6.  The previous mark was 107 points scored at Northwestern Ohio on Feb. 14, 2018.  The 58-point margin of victory, 132-74, also broke the previous mark of 54 set on Nov. 6, 2018 against Wright State-Lake, 101-47, and matched last season at Akron Wayne in an 81-27 victory.

This and That: Lourdes is holding opponents to just 28.9% shooting from three-point range this season ... the Gray Wolves are +1.2 in turnover margin on the year ... Mercedes Wagner is the only Lourdes player to appear in all 26 contests  ... Shae Pedroza is shooting 88.9% from the free throw line.
