Day 1 Results
Lourdes shot rounds of 306 and 312 on Monday as the Gray Wolves finished the opening day of competition in second place at the Cardinal Classic held at Washtenaw Golf Club in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Gray Wolves' 36-hole total of 618 is 13 shots behind Spring Arbor, which shot 302 and 303 to take the tournament lead. Lawrence Tech is third, four shots behind Lourdes.

Justin Altenbach (Lima, Ohio/Shawnee H.S.) led the way for Lourdes on day one, firing rounds of 73 and 78 for a total of 151, and is in fourth place heading into round three. The freshman trails Harry Chipman of Aquinas and Thiago Ormachea of Lawrence Tech by one stroke for second place. Trevor Rupp of Spring Arbor leads the tournament at 145.

In round two, all five Gray Wolves fired rounds of 78 on the 6,564-yard, par-72 layout.Â
Jack Murphy (Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington H.S.) and
Isaac Simmons (Genoa, Ohio/Genoa H.S.) are both tied for 10
th after opening rounds of 77.Â
Ryan Klausing (Kalida, Ohio/Kalida H.S.) fired a first round 79 for a 157 total while
Alban Bruyas (Grenoble, France/Lycee Philippine Duchesne) carded an 80 to begin the day.

Lourdes will look to move up one final spot in the standings on Tuesday as the final round begins at 8 a.m.
