Final Results
After shooting the team's best round of the Cardinal Classic with a 304 on Tuesday, Lourdes finished the 54-hole event in third place at Washtenaw Golf Club in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The Gray Wolves turned in a three-round score of 922, just two strokes behind runner-up Lawrence Tech, which fired the best final round of the day at 298. Spring Arbor won the tournament with a total of 904.
Isaac Simmons (Genoa, Ohio/Genoa H.S.) led the way for Lourdes after posting an even-par round of 72 to finish at 227, tying for fifth place individually.
Justin Altenbach (Lima, Ohio/Shawnee H.S.) notched his second consecutive top-10 finish to begin his career, tying for ninth at 230 after a final round 79.
Jack Murphy (Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington H.S.) posted a final round 76 to finish the tournament at 231 while
Alban Bruyas (Grenoble, France/Lycee Philippine Duchesne) added a 77 to finish 54 holes at 235.
Ryan Klausing (Kalida, Ohio/Kalida H.S.) closed out the lineup at 239 with a final round 82.
Spring Arbor's Trevor Rupp was the individual medalist at two-over par 218 on the 6,564-yard layout, winning the tournament by five strokes over Harry Chipman of Lawrence Tech.
Lourdes will return to action on Thursday and Friday at the 36-hole Irish Hills Invitational hosted by Adrian. Action begins at noon on Thursday at Tecumseh Golf Club in Tecumseh, Mich.
