Series Notes: Aquinas leads the all-time series against Lourdes 20-2 dating back to Nov. 30, 2011.  The Gray Wolves snapped a three-game losing streak in the series with the Saints on Nov. 30, recording a 68-64 victory at home in the Ebeid Rec Center.  Lourdes is looking for its first win ever against Aquinas in Grand Rapids, Mich., with the Saints having won all 11 previous contests.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes carried a lead into the fourth quarter on Wednesday (Jan. 18) at home against Siena Heights but the Saints rallied to defeat the Gray Wolves 70-67.  Emma Pedroza led Lourdes with 21 points while Shae Pedroza added 18 more.  On Saturday (Jan. 21), Cornerstone made the game-winner with 4.2 seconds remaining as the Golden Eagles defeated Lourdes 68-66 in the Ebeid Rec Center.  Emma Pedroza had a game-high 19 points while Shae Pedroza added 16 more.  Macie Stringfellow pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds for the Gray Wolves.

A Battle for a WHAC Tournament Berth: With one month remaining in the regular season, Lourdes is in the midst of a battle for a spot in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament.  The Gray Wolves enter the week tied for ninth place with Michigan-Dearborn, with the top eight teams qualifying for postseason play.  Lourdes is just one game behind eighth place Aquinas in the standings heading into their battle on Wednesday.

Quite a Stretch for Emma: Emma Pedroza has become a scoring machine for the Gray Wolves over the last three games, averaging 20.7 points per game.  She poured in a career-high 22 points on Jan. 14 against Michigan-Dearborn, making 9-of-19 shots from the floor.  She followed that effort up with 21 points versus Siena Heights before tallying 19 Saturday against Cornerstone.  Pedroza has tallied 14 double figure scoring games during her rookie season.

Crashing the Boards: Lourdes has outrebounded each of its last three opponents.  On the season the Gray Wolves are averaging 11.0 offensive boards per game.  Last Saturday against Cornerstone, Macie Stringfellow pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds.  It was the redshirt-freshman's second double figure rebounding game of the season.

Shae Pedroza Continues to Hold the WHAC Lead: Shae Pedroza is connecting at a 92.0% clip from the free throw line on the season, the best mark in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.  She has missed just four attempts all year (46-of-50).  Pedroza is seventh among all NAIA players from the charity stripe this year.
