Series Notes: Concordia (Mich.) leads the all-time series against Lourdes 22-2 dating back to Oct. 27, 2011.  The Cardinals have won the last nine meetings between the two schools after winning this season's first meeting 64-50 in Ann Arbor, Mich. on Nov. 9.  Concordia is 6-0 against the Gray Wolves all-time in the Ebeid Rec Center.  Rochester (Mich.) holds a 12-2 all-time advantage in a series that began Jan. 23, 2012.  The Warriors have won three straight meetings between the two schools after scoring a 70-61 triumph in the Ebeid Rec Center on Jan. 7.  Rochester is 5-1 against the Gray Wolves in Rochester Hills, Mich.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes snapped a six-game losing skid with a 71-61 victory on the road at Aquinas last Wednesday (Jan. 25).  Nadeen Jemaa led all scorers with 19 points while Emma Pedroza added 18 more.  Shae Pedroza chipped in 14 points and Halle Barnett tallied 12 more, giving the Gray Wolves four double figure scorers.  Mercedes Wagner pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.

National Girls and Women in Sports Day: Lourdes will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Wednesday with the Gray Wolves playing the second game of the WHAC doubleheader.  This is the fifth consecutive season the Gray Wolves have celebrated Title IX and the accomplishments of female athletes.

A Battle for a WHAC Tournament Berth: Lourdes climbed into a tie with Aquinas for eighth place in the WHAC standings and the final spot in the WHAC tournament heading into the final six games of the regular season.  The Gray Wolves currently hold the tiebreaker over Aquinas as well by virtue of their regular season sweep.  Lourdes is just one game behind seventh place Northwestern Ohio in the standings heading into the week.

Jemaa Has Career Night: Nadeen Jemaa scored a career-high 19 points in the victory at Aquinas last week.  The Gray Wolf guard made a career-best five three-pointers in the game as well.  This season Jemaa has a team-high 38 triples and is averaging 6.6 points per game.

Shae Pedroza Continues to Hold the WHAC Lead: Shae Pedroza is connecting at a 90.4% clip from the free throw line on the season, the best mark in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.  She has missed just five attempts all year (47-of-52).  Pedroza is eighth among all NAIA players from the charity stripe this year.

Quite a Stretch for Emma: Emma Pedroza has become a scoring machine for the Gray Wolves over the last four games, averaging 20.0 points per game.  She poured in a career-high 22 points on Jan. 14 against Michigan-Dearborn, and followed that effort up with 21 points versus Siena Heights.  She tallied 19 points against Cornerstone and last Wednesday she scored 18 more points at Aquinas.  Pedroza has tallied 15 double figure scoring games during her rookie season.

Lourdes Tabbed Seventh in WHAC Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in seventh place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  Lourdes was picked just behind Concordia (Mich.) and just ahead of Madonna in the balloting.  Indiana Tech was tabbed as the preseason favorite.

This and That: Shae Pedroza is the team's active scoring leader with 687 points over her three seasons ... Halle Barnett is shooting 53.4% from the floor on the season, the lone Gray Wolf over 50% ... Barnett also has a team-leading 19 blocked shots ... Lourdes looks to move to .500 at home on the season with a win against Concordia (Mich.).
