Led by
Jack Murphy's (Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington H.S.) individual title at Monday's Gray Wolf Invitational, Lourdes posted a runner-up team finish at Sylvania Country Club.
Murphy fired a one-over par round of 73 to win the tournament by one stroke over Cleary's Cameron Thomas for his first victory of the season and second of his career. Murphy also won the Defiance Invitational on Sept. 8, 2021.
As a team, the Gray Wolves posted a round of 311, finishing three shots behind Cleary. Tiffin was third at 337.
Alban Bruyas (Grenoble, France/Lycee Philippine Duchesne) finished tied for third overall with his round of 77 while
Gaige Keane (Temperance, Mich./Bedford H.S.) carded his season's best round of 78 to tie for sixth place competing as an individual.
Charlie Robertson (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) and
Darin Wray (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer H.S.) each posted rounds of 80 to tie for eighth place while
Justin Altenbach (Lima, Ohio/Shawnee H.S.) and
Grant Leis (Ottoville, Ohio/Ottoville H.S.) carded rounds of 81.
Lourdes wraps up its fall slate next Monday taking part in the Cleary Invitational. The shotgun start is slated for 10 a.m. at Oak Pointe Golf Club in Brighton, Mich.
