OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. – The Lourdes men's golf team placed tied for eighth out of 17 teams in the Lourdes Invite on Thursday.
The Gray Wolves hosted the event at Legacy Golf Course just over the Michigan border in Ottawa Lake. The event was extremely competitive with teams across D2, D3, NAIA and NJCAA.
Lourdes tied with Lawrence Tech for fifth out of the eight WHAC teams in the tournament and finished higher than three NCAA schools. Indiana Tech's A-team won the tournament by five strokes over Tiffin University's B-team. The final team results of the Lourdes Invite are posted below.

The overall individual champion of the tournament was Indiana Tech's Xabier Herrero, who scored a +1. He was originally tied with RCU's Daniel Runkel but won a playoff hole four to five against Runkel to secure the championship. The rest of the all-tournament team included Tiffin's Christien Westcott, Indiana Tech's Logan Keller, Cleary's Rory Sturos, and Cornerstone's Joseph Eastman.
Charlie Robertson and
Brock Fussell led the way for Lourdes with final scores of 76 (four over par). They both finished tied for 16
th in the competition.
Edward Robertson had the third-best finish for Gray Wolves' golfers with a +7.
