Series Notes: Siena Heights has won all 24 previous meetings against the Gray Wolves in a series that dates back to Dec. 3, 2011.  Last year the Saints recorded an 81-75 win in Adrian, Mich. and a 70-67 victory inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  Siena Heights is 7-0 against Lourdes all-time in the Ebeid Rec Center.  Michigan-Dearborn holds a 13-9 all-time advantage against the Gray Wolves in a series that began Jan. 14, 2012.  The two schools split a pair of contests last season with Lourdes winning 91-86 in the Ebeid Rec Center and the Wolverines posting a 67-59 win in Dearborn, Mich.  Michigan-Dearborn is 6-3 against Lourdes in Dearborn, Mich. but the two schools have not met on the Wolverines' campus since Dec. 4, 2019.

Wrapping Up Last Week: The Gray Wolves took to the road for the first time this season on Friday (Nov. 10), suffering their first setback of the year 79-68 at Mount Vernon Nazarene.  Mercedes Wagner scored a team-high 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting while Macie Stringfellow notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Shae Pedroza also scored 10 points.

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints are still looking for their first win of the season after falling 48-41 at home against Indiana Tech in their WHAC opener on Saturday.  Kayla Hinton leads Siena Heights averaging 13.0 points per game.  Jakarri Alven adds 11.5 points while Madison Vice chips in 10.0 points per contest for the Saints.  Olivia DeLong leads the team on the glass, grabbing 7.0 rebounds per contest.

WHAC Openers: Lourdes is 2-10 all-time in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference openers entering Wednesday's game against Siena Heights.  Lourdes has dropped four consecutive league openers after the Gray Wolves fell in their first WHAC game of the 2022-2023 season on the road at Concordia (Mich.) 64-50.  Lourdes last won a league opener on the road at Madonna 74-52 on Nov. 17, 2018.  The Gray Wolves and Saints have never met in Lourdes' WHAC opener prior to this year.

Stringfellow Notches First Career Double-Double: Macie Stringfellow recorded her first double-double of her career, and the first for a Gray Wolf this season, last Saturday with her 12-point, 12-rebound performance at Mount Vernon Nazarene.  The 12 boards tie Stringfellow's career high which she set last season at home against Cornerstone.

Scoring Inside: The Gray Wolves have tallied at least 30 points in the paint in each of their first two games this season.  Lourdes has tallied 68 points in the lane over the two games, accounting for more than half of the team's 135 total points on the year.

Lourdes Tabbed Sixth in WHAC Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in sixth place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  Lourdes was picked just behind Rochester (Mich.) and just ahead of Lawrence Tech in the balloting.  Indiana Tech was tabbed as the unanimous preseason favorite.

This and That: The Gray Wolves are 4-3 all-time in overtime contests but have not played one since Feb. 27, 2021, a 91-84 setback at Concordia (Mich.) in the WHAC tournament semifinals ...
