Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: Â Lourdes looks to carry the momentum of its first WHAC victory into Tuesday night's non-conference action as the Gray Wolves return to the Ebeid Rec Center to host Ohio Christian in the team's final home game before the end of the semester.
Head Coach Tandy Bradford: In her third season on the Lourdes bench,
Tandy Bradford sports a 21-42 (.333) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. Â In her fifth season overall as a collegiate head coach, Bradford has a 42-101 (.294) career mark. Â She is the fifth head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Ohio Christian leads the all-time series against Lourdes 4-0 dating back to Nov. 5, 2018. Â Last season the Trailblazers scored a 75-66 win over the Gray Wolves in Circleville, Ohio. Â The only previous meeting between the two schools in the Ebeid Rec Center went to overtime on Jan. 4, 2020 with Ohio Christian prevailing 76-67.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes opened WHAC play on Wednesday evening dropping a 71-55 decision at home against Siena Heights. Â
Emma Pedroza led Lourdes with 14 points while
Nakiya Sigman added 12 more. Â On Saturday, the Gray Wolves took to the road for a 76-61 victory at Michigan-Dearborn. Â Sigman had 16 points while
Shae Pedroza added 14 more. Â

Macie Stringfellow gave Lourdes four double figure scorers, tallying 12 and 10 points respectively.
Scouting Ohio Christian: The Trailblazers have won two straight games after defeating Great Lakes Christian 105-56 at home on Wednesday night. Â Haley Cox leads Ohio Christian averaging 25.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while Emma Koons adds 14.0 points and 6.8 boards per outing. Â Ashley Deweese tallies 13.8 points per contest for the Trailblazers while Lily Shepherd gives Ohio Christian four double figure scorers, averaging 10.5 points per night.
Looking for First Win Against RSC: Lourdes is looking for its first victory against a current member of the River States Conference on Tuesday against Ohio Christian. Â The Gray Wolves are 0-9 against current members of the league. Â In addition to facing Ohio Christian, Lourdes has also played Indiana-Southeast (0-1), Midway (0-2), and Shawnee State (0-2).
Forcing Turnovers: Lourdes is +5.3 in turnover margin this season having forced 73 turnovers from its opponents while committing just 52 miscues on the year. Â Of the 73 forced turnovers, 41 have come via steals, led by nine from
Shae Pedroza and eight from
Emma Pedroza. Â The Gray Wolves have forced at least 12 turnovers in every contest this season, including a season-high 28 against Adrian in the opener. Â On the other hand, Lourdes committed a season-low eight turnovers on Saturday in the win at Michigan-Dearborn.
Sigman Has Big Offensive Week: Nakiya Sigman scored in double figures in both games for the Gray Wolves last week. Â After entering the week having tallied just 12 points in her first two games, she posted 12 on Wednesday against Siena Heights before leading the team with 16 in the win at Michigan-Dearborn. Â Sigman is now averaging in double figures at 10.0 points per game while shooting a team-best 41.7% from three-point range.
Scoring Leader: Shae Pedroza leads Lourdes in scoring thus far this season averaging 11.3 points per game. Â She posted a season-high 14 points in the win at Michigan-Dearborn and has tallied double figures in three of the four games thus far this season.
On the Glass and Dishing the Rock: Macie Stringfellow has done the little things for the Gray Wolves thus far this season. Â She leads the team with 7.5 rebounds per game while also handing out a team-high 11 assists. Â Stringfellow has also registered three of the six blocked shots by Lourdes players through four games.
Hitting the Road: Lourdes will take to the road for four consecutive games following Tuesday night's contest with Ohio Christian. Â The trip begins on Nov. 29 at Cornerstone and the Gray Wolves will not return to the Ebeid Rec Center until Dec. 16 for their final home game during the 2023 calendar year. Â Lourdes will play seven of eight games overall away from home, closing 2023 with an exhibition game at Findlay.
Active Leaders: Shae Pedroza leads all Gray Wolf players with 835 points over the last four years in a Gray Wolf uniform. Â
Mercedes Wagner just surpassed 600 career points at Lourdes and enters the week with 603 over her three seasons wearing the terra cotta and black. Â Wagner is also the team's active rebounding leader with 359.
Reaching 100: The victory over Adrian on Nov. 4 was the Gray Wolves 100th in the women's basketball program's history. Â Lourdes began playing women's basketball in the 2011-2012 season and is now 100-246 all-time.
Lourdes Tabbed Sixth in WHAC Preseason Poll: The Gray Wolves were selected to finish in sixth place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches. Â Lourdes was picked just behind Rochester (Mich.) and just ahead of Lawrence Tech in the balloting. Â Indiana Tech was tabbed as the unanimous preseason favorite.
This and That: The Gray Wolves are 4-3 all-time in overtime contests but have not played one since Feb. 27, 2021, a 91-84 setback at Concordia (Mich.) in the WHAC tournament semifinals ... Lourdes is outscoring opponents 72-42 in the third quarter this season but are being outscored in each of the other three.
