Final Results
Lourdes concluded play in ninth place in a field of 12 schools on Saturday in the two-day Battle at the Brae held at Stoatin Brae Golf Club in Augusta, Mich.
The Gray Wolves posted a final round 316 to finish the event at 326, 12 strokes behind eighth place Aquinas and 12 shots ahead of 10
th place Concordia (Mich.). Lawrence Tech won the tournament with a total of 583, 11 shots in front of runner-up Madonna.
Alban Bruyas (Grenoble, France/Lycee Philippine Duchesne) led the way for the Gray Wolves with his second consecutive 77 to finish at 154, tied for 29
th place overall.
Isaac Simmons (Genoa, Ohio/Genoa H.S.), playing as an individual, also carded a final round 77 to post 155 for the tournament.
Jack Murphy (Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington H.S.) fired a second round 78 to also finish at 155 while
Justin Altenbach (Lima, Ohio/Shawnee H.S.) shot a 78 to post 157 for the event.
Ryan Klausing (Kalida, Ohio/Kalida H.S.) shot a final round 83 on the 6,742-yard, par-71 course while
Hunter DeWeese (Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington H.S.) posted an 85 on day two.
Bruno Vicente of Lawrence Tech won the individual tournament with a two-under par total of 140 (69-71), four shots ahead of Madonna's Harrison Bowman.
Lourdes will return to action at the Aquinas Spring Invitational on Monday, April 17. The event was scheduled for this coming Monday (April 10), but was postponed a week due to course conditions. Action is slated to begin at 10 a.m. at Kaufman Golf Course in Grand Rapids, Mich.
