Series Notes: Lourdes is 19-10 all-time against Concordia (Mich.) in a series that began Nov. 2, 2010.  The Gray Wolves have won the last three meetings between the two schools after notching an 83-64 triumph on Dec. 16 inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  The series is tied 7-7 in Ann Arbor, Mich.  Lourdes holds a 16-12 advantage in the all-time series against Northwestern Ohio dating back to Dec. 30, 2010.  The Gray Wolves have won the last two meetings against the Racers after posting a 94-74 win in Lima, Ohio on Dec. 2.  Lourdes is 6-1 against Northwestern Ohio in games played in the Ebeid Rec Center.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Siena Heights pushed Lourdes to the final five minutes last Wednesday (Jan. 24) before the Gray Wolves pulled away for a 71-61 win on the Saints' home floor.  Shaunn Monroe led the Gray Wolves with 24 points while Ethan Damerum came off the bench to add 12 more.  On Saturday (Jan. 27), Lourdes shot better than 57% from the floor in a 96-76 win over Aquinas.  Jackie Harris led five Gray Wolves in double figures with 20 points while Joey Holifield and Stephen Coleman Jr. added 16 points each.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals have dropped two straight games after falling 85-67 to Concordia (Ill.) on Saturday in the consolation game of the Concordia Invitational.  Zavion McClendon leads Concordia in scoring averaging 19.6 points per game.  Dylan Jergens adds 16.2 points per night while Joey Garwood is averaging 12.7 points per game.  Devyn Jones chips in 11.2 points per night while grabbing a team-best 6.2 rebounds per contest.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers enter the week following an 82-64 victory at Cleary on Saturday which snapped a three-game losing skid.  Northwestern Ohio hosts Madonna on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Kahlil Davis leads the Racers averaging 16.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.  Ryan Archey adds 16.1 points per contest as the only other Racer to average in double figures this season.

Highest Ranking Ever: Lourdes enters the week ranked 10th in the latest NAIA top-25 coaches' poll.  This marks the first season the Gray Wolves have been ranked in men's basketball since the NAIA merged from two divisions into one prior to the 2020-2021 season.  The ranking of 10th is the highest for the Gray Wolves in program history, surpassing the ranking on Feb. 5, 2020, when Lourdes was ranked 13th.  The next poll will be released Jan. 31.

Tournament Berth Solidified: Lourdes has already assured itself a spot in the WHAC tournament with eight games remaining in the regular season.  The Gray Wolves are nine games up on ninth place heading into the week.  Next Lourdes will look to solidify a top-four finish to host a quarterfinal game.

A Program First: For the first time in program history, Lourdes has registered two winning streaks of at least seven games in the same season.  The Gray Wolves opened the year winning 10 consecutive contests and enter this week with seven straight wins.

Perkins with Career Night: Kendall Perkins scored in double figures for the first time in his Gray Wolf career on Saturday in the win over Aquinas.  The Lourdes junior tallied 10 points of the bench in just 14 minutes of action.  He was 4-of-7 from the floor on his way to surpassing his previous season's best mark of six points on three different occasions.

Monroe a Model of Consistency: Shaunn Monroe has tallied double figures in all 18 games for the Gray Wolves this season, and is second on the team averaging 17.8 points per contest.  The Gray Wolf guard is shooting 55.5% from the floor this season, second best on the team behind Ethan Damerum's 64.0% clip.

Harris Reaches 1,000 Point Plateau: Jackie Harris became the fifth Gray Wolf in program history to reach the 1,000-point plateau, doing so on Jan. 10 against Cleary.  Harris enters this week with 1,073 career points, joining Clif Snow (2017-21, 22-23) - 1,789 points, Zach Steinmetz (2013-16) - 1,395 points, Joey Holifield (2021-pres.) - 1,320 points, and Little Anderson (2019-23) - 1,286 points in the 1,000-point club.

Harris and Holifield on Bevo Francis Award Watch List: Jackie Harris and Joey Holifield were both among the 100 players in NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, NCCAA, and USCAA to be named to the Bevo Francis Award Watch List.  The award honors the best small college player in the country.  Lourdes is one of just 10 schools in the country to have two players on the list, and one of only five NAIA schools to accomplish the feat.

Lourdes Tabbed WHAC Preseason Favorite: The Gray Wolves were selected to win the WHAC regular season title this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  Lourdes collected four first place votes and was picked just ahead of Rochester (Mich.) and Indiana Tech in the league balloting.

This and That: Lourdes is outscoring teams by 16.4 points per game this season ... the Gray Wolves are shooting 48.2% from the floor and 76.6% from the free throw line.
