SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) – Lourdes University Athletics has announced the discontinuation of the men's and women's track programs as well as the men's lacrosse program, effective immediately.
Lourdes University is committed to maintaining a high standard for its athletic programs. After careful consideration and a thorough evaluation, it was determined that this standard has not been adequately met within the track and men's lacrosse programs, leading to the decision to discontinue.
"Lourdes University Athletics has always strived to provide opportunities for student-athletes to excel both on and off the field," said Jo Ann Gordon, Athletic Director. "This was an incredibly difficult decision, made with the utmost consideration for the student-athletes involved.
