Day 1 Results
Lourdes took to the oval on Thursday to race in the opening day of competition at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships held at Warrior Park in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The Gray Wolves opened the day with an eighth place finish in the 4x800m relay. The team of
Gavin Hamilton (Grand Blanc, Mich./Powers Catholic H.S.),
Levi Trout (North Baltimore, Ohio/North Baltimore H.S.),
Elliott Ramsey (Toledo, Ohio/Emmanuel Christian H.S.), and
Jacob Newland (Ypsilanti, Mich./Lincoln H.S.) turned in a time of 8:27.72, a season's best. The time also was the second fastest in program history, just over three seconds off school record pace.
Tyler Rose (Cardington, Ohio/Cardington Lincoln H.S.) also competed in the 100m dash prelims. The sophomore crossed the finish line in 11.74 seconds, a season's best mark. He did not qualify for Friday's finish, finishing in 23
rd place overall.
Lourdes finished the opening day of the competition with one total team point.
The Gray Wolves will return to the oval for day two of competition on Friday. The action begins at noon at Warrior Park.
