Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball:  Lourdes heads into the final week of the 2023-2024 regular season looking to solidify a spot in the upcoming WHAC tournament that begins next week.  The Gray Wolves close out the home slate on Wednesday night hosting Rochester (Mich.) before taking to the road on Saturday to visit Cleary to wrap up the campaign.

Head Coach Tandy Bradford: In her third season on the Lourdes bench, Tandy Bradford sports a 29-55 (.345) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In her fifth season overall as a collegiate head coach, Bradford has a 50-114 (.305) career mark.  She is the fifth head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Rochester (Mich.) is 14-2 all-time against Lourdes in a series that began Jan. 23, 2012.  The Warriors have won the last five games against the Gray Wolves after scoring an 88-78 win on Jan. 13 in Rochester Hills, Mich.  Rochester is 6-0 against Lourdes all-time inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  Cleary won the only previous meeting against Lourdes, a 74-70 decision inside the Ebeid Rec Center earlier this season on Jan. 10, 2024.  This will be the first trip for the Gray Wolves to face the Cougars on the road.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes recorded its third consecutive victory on Wednesday evening with a 52-47 win on the road at Lawrence Tech.  Macie Stringfellow registered a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds while Emma Pedroza added eight points.  On Saturday, #19 Indiana Tech defeated the Gray Wolves 71-47 in Fort Wayne, Ind.  Winter Richburg and Nadeen Jemaa both came off the bench to pace Lourdes with 14 and 12 points respectively in the loss.

Scouting Rochester (Mich.): The Warriors are coming off a 78-68 victory at home against Northwestern Ohio last Saturday.  Celeste Mershimer leads Rochester averaging 16.5 points per game while Jacey Somers adds 11.6 points per night.  Melanie Moore is pulling down a team-high 8.6 rebounds per contest to lead the Warriors on the glass.

Scouting Cleary: The Cougars enter the week having won back-to-back games following a 72-50 triumph at home against Michigan-Dearborn last Saturday.   Cleary will host Madonna on Wednesday night before entertaining the Gray Wolves.  Taedom Stein leads Cleary averaging 12.7 points per game this season.  Amy Jackson adds 12.5 points per night.  Mileisha Rodriguez is the third Cougar scoring in double figures, tallying 10.8 points per night, while grabbing a team-leading 9.3 rebounds per game.

In the Tournament Hunt: Heading into the final week of the regular season, Lourdes needs just one victory to secure a spot in the upcoming WHAC tournament for the second consecutive season and the fourth time in program history.  The Gray Wolves can finish as high as sixth in the final league standings.

History Within Reach: Lourdes needs just one more victory to match the program record for wins in a season with 11.  The Gray Wolves won 11 games overall in both the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons.  In addition, Lourdes has the opportunity to post its best WHAC finish in school history with the ability to place as high as sixth in the final standings.  The Gray Wolves finished in a tie for seventh place in that 2018-2019 campaign.

Surpassing 1,000: Shae Pedroza became just the third Gray Wolf in program history to reach 1,000 points wearing the terra cotta and black when she surpassed the century mark on Jan. 31 at Concordia (Mich.).  Pedroza enters the week with 1,044 career points, second most in program history.  Lauren Tilden (2011-2015) is the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,302 career points while Jesse Fidler (2014-2017) tallied 1,001 points.

Stringfellow Notches Fifth Double-Double: Macie Stringfellow recorded her fifth double-double of the season last Wednesday for the Gray Wolves in the win at Lawrence Tech.  It marked the second straight double-double for Stringfellow as she led Lourdes with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the contest.

Getting Bench Production: Lourdes reserves accounted for 31 of the Gray Wolves' 47 points on Saturday at Indiana Tech.  Winter Richburg scored a career-high 14 points, her first double figure game of the season.  Nadeen Jemaa also tallied double digits, scoring 12 points on four three-pointers.

Mixing Up the Lineup: Lourdes has had 12 different players draw a starting assignment this season.  Not one Gray Wolf has started all 23 games and only Shae Pedroza, who has started in all 24 games in which she has appeared, has more than 20 starts on the season.

Sisters Pacing the Offense: Emma Pedroza and Shae Pedroza have paced the Gray Wolf offense this season.  Emma leads the way at 11.6 points per game while Shae is second on the team tallying 10.6 points per night.  Macie Stringfellow has made a push to break into the top two, posting 10.5 points per outing.

This and That: The three game winning streak from Feb. 7-14 was the team's longest since winning three consecutive games Jan. 26 through Feb. 5 ... Macie Stringfellow has a team-leading 42 steals and 21 blocked shots ... Nakiya Sigman has 57 assists, most on the team ... 70 of Halle Barnett's 154 rebounds this season have come on the offensive end of the floor.
