Final Results
Lourdes wrapped up its 2024 competitive dance season on Friday afternoon with a ninth place finish at the NAIA Northeast Regional held at the Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The Gray Wolves finished with a total score of 66.00, just behind eighth place Marian (Ind.), which posted a mark of 66.92. Lourdes was more than five points ahead of 10
th place Saint Xavier, which finished at 60.86. Saint Ambrose won the regional with a combined score of 96.27 while host Aquinas finished runner-up with a mark of 92.47.
"We are very pleased with how today turned out," head coach
Lauren Wilson said afterwards. "We worked really hard all season, and our team goal was to improve from last year, which we accomplished. The team did a great job of setting goals for each competition, and we definitely hit our season goal of feeling like we left it all out on the floor. We look forward to next year as we hope to keep growing and improving."
In the preliminary round, Lourdes posted a score of 63.37, which included 3.0 points worth of deductions. The Gray Wolves cleaned up their routine for the finals, which was worth 75% of the total score, and posted a mark of 66.87, which was the eighth best score of the round. Lourdes had just 1.5 points worth of deductions in the finals.
