GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Lourdes competitive dance team finished fourth out of six teams in the 2026 WHAC Tournament with a final score of 87.33.
The 87.33 ties the team's season-high that they set at the beginning of the year with their runner-up placement at Marian.
The Gray Wolves averaged an 82.78 over their five competitions this season, marking one of their best seasons in program history. The group finished in sixth place three times, fourth place once, and second place once.
Lourdes' head coach Lauren Wilson won WHAC Coach of the Year for her dramatic turnaround of the program this season. Sophomore
Mya Hoberg was selected to the All-WHAC First Team. Junior
Clara Steele was selected to the WHAC Champions of Character team.
Off the floor, Lourdes was tied with a couple of other schools for the most WHAC All-Academic team members. The Gray Wolves had five selections, including
Clara Steele,
Kelli Altman, Catelynn Behan,
Mya Hoberg, and
Paige Britton. Head coach Lauren Wilson commented after the competition on the team ending the season off strong.
"It's been an honor to coach this team this season," Coach Wilson said. "The way everyone pushed through and came together one last time was amazing to watch and something I'll never forget. It was also an honor to receive Coach of the Year. Lourdes dance will always have a special place in my heart."
Winning the WHAC Tournament was the Aquinas Saints with a record breaking performance over 92 points. The Saints have won the WHAC Tournament in six out of seven years of the competitions' existence and are constantly a force to be reckoned with.
Siena Heights also scored over a 90 and finished in second place. Marian finished in third, less than a point above Lourdes. Madonna finished just below Lourdes in fifth-place and Indiana Tech rounded out the final rankings in sixth.
